What is your current GOTY from what you've played now that we are half way into 2026?

It's no secret that the second half will be an onslaught so likely most of our current selections will be toppled by something in the second half.

For me, it's absolutely RE9 Requiem. Fantastic game!

So far in terms of enjoyment for me I would say Crimson Desert although Gothic Remake is making me rethink the whole thing because I am loving my time with it

Mine is probably the Gothic remake so far.
I expected to be lukewarm at best about it, but after a rough first impression with spotty performances I'm ending up loving it more and more with every passing hour.

Crimson Desert owns the first half of 2026, IMO. I'm not saying other games haven't been great, or that Crimson Desert is perfect, but when we're talking Game of the Year, not just Game I Had Fun With, it's my clear frontrunner so far.

For me so far it's Vampire Crawlers. Thing is I just realized I've been gaming a lot lately but I haven't played anything from this year although Pragmata and RE9 are on my list in the near future. The last half of this year will be crazy though and I don't even know how I'm gonna play everything and get caught up on what I still need to play but i guess that's a good problem to have.
