Barring the road I'd say Guillotine looks okay.

I think its safe to say 343 redeemed themselves 100% on the MP end with H5. This multiplayer on this game is just too damn good.

Excited for BTB, Warzone is fine but a bit too chaotic at times for me. Valhalla remake better be good!

So is this all free content, or paid dlc? Just gave multiplayer a try for the first time yesterday, and it's pretty decent.
As far as I know, all post launch content like maps, modes and features are all FREE.
Only reason to get COD is single player on Veteran and thats not worth 60 bucks imo.
¯_(ツ_/¯ don't particularly care about how the maps look. If they play well it doesn't matter to me.
It would be nice if the texture variety was better, but in the end it's all about the gameplay.

While I agree that gameplay take precedence over most things by your logo we should never have upgraded consoles because cosmetics don't matter at all. 343 should have just run Halo on some Goldeneye 64 maps.¯_(ツ

I guess that's a good point but it wouldn't be very pleasing to play a game in sub-480p60. That affects gameplay because you can't see anything lol

Xbox one dashboard has a group of lists, one of them are the game played the most, this morning it was BOPS3, Halo, Destiny and GTAV.
They are also working on original maps that are going to be free DLC.

It's bigger, and has lots of other changes from the H2 version. Base layout and general flow is the same - thats about it. Same will go for these BTB maps. Nothing will be 1 to 1.
Just go to the game store, on that you turn right, you will see a group of listed games, you have list like top sold, top rated among other options, Top played is like the fourth of fifth list.
Man, it is so disingenuous of them to call these maps DLC. If these maps are DLC then Halo 4 received SO MUCH free DLC. Seriously, we know that Halo 4 Forge maps made by community members were never DLC items so calling these maps DLC is preposterous. Also ridiculous is the "new" emblem which is just a returning emblem they just held off from releasing. What a joke. For me personally this is killing the good will 343 built up leading up to launch.

Maps made to launch a new playlist which is a legacy large scale mode are DLC. It's part of their support. This just like how they counted Breakout map variants as individual maps in the 21 launch map total. They're being slick with what they are considering new, original content we would have previously paid for.

Unless I'm mistaken, there's a lack of clarity as to whether these recently announced forge btb maps count as part of the promised 15 maps.
They are not calling this maps DLC, this is BTB content update. nothing to do with deceiving the fanbase into thinking this could had been a previously paid for content. The real DLC, with real new maps, for free will drop in the future. That you incorrectly believe this is 343 idea on DLC is on you.

They do look like dog shit and this halo has been disappointing. Shit campaign, no btb at launch so we can be force fed warzone. Shit forge maps, boring maps in general. Its obvious the only thing they cared about was warzone and req packs. I mean we can't even get real maps but we're getting new reqs already. Gotta push those microtransactions. This shit is sad and I'm sad to see halo in this state. tthe fact so many people are ok with it is depressing. I'm glad I got the game for free.

I would not have minded forge maps after getting some actual maps. Not a fan of releasing a beloved game mode on the back of forge maps. BTB obviously took a backseat to warzone and that sucks (to me).
That's arguable in any Halo thread.

Yeah I can understand that, but something had to give to get "free" DLC. Warzone was created so that the community doesn't have to pay for map packs. It's a fun mode at times, but I mostly stick to Arena.
As a Halo fan this is hyperbole, im playing the game exactly how i was playing Halo 2. I dont care for REQs - I've not needed to understand what they do, i dont care. Im having so much fun playing Slayer - they certainly need to increase the map count and i hope its not forge maps, but im giving them the benefit of the doubt. But focus being microtransactions and reqs isn't true during my playtime

I bought this line of reasoning until yesterday when I found out the outsourced BTB map making to the community and decided not to give an ETA on the arrival of maps made by the dev team.
Where is all this Req money going? So far, We are getting free DLC, that actually didn't cost 343i anything to make....
I've basically been 343i defense force up until yesterday. But this lack of clarity is fucked up.
I really hope they release proper big team battle maps. These forge maps should be in addition to four real maps.
