"Enter Halo: Fireteam Raven, a cooperative arcade sci-fi shooting game from arcade legends Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix in a unique partnership with 343 Industries. Set in the timeframe of Halo: Combat Evolved, this new arcade experience hot-drops players feet first into the boots of Fireteam Raven – a group of elite Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST) on the surface of Alpha Halo fighting alongside the Master Chief and the rest of the UNSC as they try desperately to prevent the alien Covenant alliance from taking control of the ancient superweapon—Halo."

"An enormous 130-inch, 4k screen experience and four turret-mounted, multipurpose machine guns allow four players to fight Covenant troops, spacecraft, and vehicles, encounter the horrifying "Flood" infestation — and save the galaxy in frenetic, explosive combat."

"After years of development it is now ready."

"As an added bonus, players will be able easily scan a QRC code with their phones and connect their arcade experience to their overall Halo identity online on Halo Waypoint – and compete with their friends and rivals for high scores on this challenging and thrilling game."

"Play Halo: Fireteam Raven first this summer at Dave & Busters in the United States and Canada, and expanding to more locations this Fall."

While I am very disappointed that they used "Inside Xbox" to announce this, I am very excited that there is a Dave and Busters 3 miles away!

I want to see the specatable... 11' x 11' ?! 4K/HDR?!

Tho last time I was in Dave and Busters that place was a dump.

Looking forward to trying it out in the next few weeks before half of the guns are rendered broken and useless and never repaired.

I've never ben to Dave and Busters. but assuming the environment is suitable for my oldest sons (10, 13, 14), we'll hopefully check it out when I visit my sister sometime this summer. I think it looks fun! Does this type of machine typically have a personalized game save or level select feature, or do you have to complete it in a single sitting?

Halo Crisis, neat!

Though something about that key art made me think this was going to be one of those LOL IT'S PACHINKO threads for a minute. Whew.

it's very much like an old school arcade setting. no save games or anything, if you die you can continue by inserting more credits (swiping your D & B card)

Dave and Busters are hit and miss. Some of them are pretty nice and others are completely run down. The one closest to my house now is in pretty good shape, wife and i went there a few months ago and had fun

It sounds like there will be some connectivity with Halo Waypoint and possibly your Gamertag, which might be cool. Achievements would be awesome.

I loved reading about the battles that the Marines and ODST units had with the Covenant on Instillation #4 Halo ring in the novel, The Flood, while the Master Chief battled it out in the events of Halo CE. It will be fun to play out the battles in a game.

This is totally unexpected and the first time I have been excited about an arcade game since the late 90's, early 2000's.

Halo did not need this.

I would rather have this be a Halo 3 ODST type game that compliments the main series, as I love the setting that Fireteam Raven takes place in, but it looks like we are getting an arcade game. Hopefully it will at least be fun. Maybe 343 will go full on retro and we'll get a home port to a console in the future.

Wow, this is a surprise. I'm not a Halo fan, but this type of old-school arcade gun game is welcome and it looks really good.

For some reason that monitor bezel/edge/divider in the middle of the screens is bothering me lol. Makes it feel more like a PC LAN party than a proper arcade. A minor nitpick though. I'm sure it's more cost-effective to use two widescreen monitors than source an unusual extra-extra-wide screen.

And, oh hey, its by Raw Thrills. Who would have guessed?

Because when I think of quality arcade experiences I think of Raw Thrills.

(extreme sarcasm used in this post)

"New arcade game"

*sees bad graphics and jittery gun cursors"

*sees "Raw Thrills"*

Yup, sounds about right. Arcade games are dead.

This game is fun! I was surprised to see it at my local kiddy play place.

Bonus pic of my little sweetheart absolutely melting the Covenant legions without mercy.
