Halo Infinite | Multiplayer Overview live now

I really like what I've seen. Been out of the vs. mp scene for a while as it's all felt a bit stagnant the last few years. Really the only vs. MP games I've spent any significant time in the last few years were Halo:MCC, Hunt, and R6:Siege, but haven't really touched any of those for a long time either. This might be enough to get me back. Or at least interesting enough to get me to try.

I think splitting the modes between the f2p MP and a campaign was the right call as it'll ensure the vs. MP will have a large and healthy community for a long time as the barrier to entry is so low. Hopefully they have non-scummy monetization going and is strictly kept to cosmetics. All-in-all the delay was probably the right move and I look forward to checking out the final game on release.

I really like the idea of picking up power armor, camo, etc. and having the ability to USE it. It just goes into your inventory. If you get killed while you have it, you drop it.

Also looks like weapons WILL be placed around the map, through it looks like they'll be on weapon racks attached to walls or something. At least some of them.

I said it before, but it resembles 3/Reach's multiplayer more than the later games, so that's cool. Feels pretty good to be looking forward to Halo and Battlefield. Feels weird to be saying that, lol.

Excellent QOL update with the battle passes.

I hope other games copy this.

I hate buying a pass, and I having x amount of time to finish it.

I usually buy the first for a game, get to around 40/100 and it is gone and then I never buy it again for that game haha

So you can't carry all grenade types at the same time anymore?

Multiplayer actually looks not bad. Graphics look more on par with halo 4 rather than better than halo 5 to me in many parts, especially the interior with the grates. Kind of sucks for them that battlefield looks to be making a massive come back this year though.

I believe ADS is gone. If what I'm seeing and stating is correct it is the best thing to date bar none. ADS in any FPS eats dick, going back to Halo 2 scope overlay and full vision while firing scoped or not is cornerstone classic Halo above all else.

Please be right. Fuck yes!

MP looks amazing gameplay wise.

In the grfx department... They are definitely going to push this out the door, then upgrade the visuals on the XsX sometime next year.

Whatever though, fucking day one!

The environments look like Halo 5..... static, lifeless, emotionless and stale.

Halo games are supposed to be full of life and make you feel your on an alien world and not in a plastic arena.

This game looks like everything i hated from Halo 5 and more

Looks pretty darn good but sad that Warzone is gone. I mean I wasn't expecting it to survive but it was my fav mode, just needed better maps. Anyways, really looking forward to Infinite.

Love how MCC's battle pass system is being used, now no matter what I can access the BP I want to invest in the most.

This will seriously take alot of player base from cod and battlefield as being f2p, if this turns out to be a massive success I think traditional 60 dollar multiplayer games will just die

Actually looks good in terms of mechanics and what they're doing with the Battlepass not expiring and stuff. Really liking the sound of all that. It being free-to-play is just the cherry on top.

I'm still bummed that it's tied to last-gen systems but otherwise I'm slowly but surely getting more hyped for this. Seems like a lot of fun!

Ah, so you have your own personal Cortana where you can customize how it talks to you. That makes the MP trailer yesterday make a lot more sense with the "Haul Ass" and "No Scope" callouts. I expect that there's an option to just shut it up completely if that's your preference. Neat!

"Don't worry, you'll buy not only the current but also older battle passes"

Well.. thanks
Well you don't have to buy the current one. The idea is that older ones don't disappear encouraging you to get them right away. and don't expire, encouraging you to try and grind it out right away or miss out on the content.

The real question is does this drop off the previous gen (as in running natively) in 4+ years.

Which Halo MP was like that?
Post the videos so we see all the dynamic, emotional and free environments.
Hell post any MP shooter that you would describe as the antithesis of your post.
Even BF1 would with everything going on knew to put "extra shit" off map because it would be distracting.

But ill wait.

Probably the best idea to come to battlepass since battlepasses became a thing.

I cant stand having a BP only to lose it because time ran out.
I still want those rewards let me buy old battlepasses.

I hope more games realize how much of a QOL improvement this is.

Finally, someone is smart enough to implement progression selection based on seasons. This is the dumbest thing that other games do, once the season is over you're locked out forever.

ADS is in, looks to be the same as Halo 5 where it slightly zooms in the weapon. Blarg. Just for the assault rifle though, looks like the scoped rifles zoom in like Halo 2/3.

- Plastic looking, no ambiance, dull

- Feels like a real world, the background sounds alone make this feel more alive than anything Halo 5 had

Watched muted.
Still dont see this "full of life" shit you are talking about?

I feel that's the trade-off for going 120fps for the MP
Can anyone explain why they prioritized 120 FPS so heavily on console? All other developers simply give the option to reduce visuals heavily should you choose to do in exchange for visuals. I reckon the vast majority of people planning on playing halo on Xbox don't have a tv with 120 FPS support

I think it looks like great fun. Maps look diverse and not just industrial forge maps. There's sand, rocks, valleys, trees, industry, cities, clay, etc.

Do you know this is multiplayer, don't you?

Sorry, but if you're worrying about the life and nature and need to stop in the middle of multiplayer to "feel" shit or whatever. You need to be kicked off the match since you got your priorities wrong.
