My favorite campaign has to be Halo ODST I love the hub city. My favorite multiplayer is Reach and in my opinion it is miles better than Halo 3

I'd agree to a large extent to be honest. I'm just looking for the new guy's thoughts
Armour lock might slow the game down... but a sniper in a Regen or even a group of players in a Regen was horrible stuff.

I know I am going to get flak for this but the sprint ability really pull me, in halo 3 i hated not being able to sprint. I know how mostly everybody feels about reach and the abilities but I like them. Firefight and being able to play the campaign online really put reach over 3 for me

I tried many different objects: bananas, pears, the broken off handle of a swiffer mop, and cucumbers. I finally settled on cucumbers. It hurt at first, but I got used to it. My orgasms doubled in strength! I would turn on Halo Reach, go into a custom game, get the elite sprinting, lube up the cucumber with Vaseline, stick it in me, and then jerk off.
Eventually, the cucumbers got too expensive to buy and my girlfriend was getting suspicious about all the "rotten cucumbers" in the garbage can.

For all the ones that had online multi-capabilities H2 should be on top. The order of H3/Reach is non-consequential.

Honestly, you did.
I'm fine with Halo without sprint. Having played Halo 3 recently and Halo 2 quite a while back I felt a bit limited at first but after a while you get used to it and eventually it just plays a lot better. Even Reach MLG is fine without sprint. Halo is so much better when people can't escape as easily.

yep, screw all those cowardly escapes, makes the gameplay so bad, that kind of stuff has no place in Halo where it takes a lot of shots to kill someone

I'd be willing to bet sprint is not going anywhere. It's pretty much expected in all FPS nowadays.
Halo 2 and 3 were not fast enough.

I dont know, maybe it will stay in campaign but as a multiplayer feature its a pretty mixed bag on player reception.
Personally i dont like it but i know alot who do, for me Halo's perfection boils down to how 2 and 3 played. No augment to player movement. Sprint has a place but in my mind that place is CoD

Ooooh yeah, I find myself itching to play some Halo and the memories that always come back are from Halo 2.
I want proper versions of Waterworks, Midship, Headlong, Lockout and Zanzibar back. I'd even settle for getting shuffled into stuff like Burial Mounds or Foundation; they were at least fun despite being clusterfucks.
I'm not so crazy about Dual Wield though, I prefer the simplicity of two 'slots' and that's it. But no Spartan Laser, no insane cross-map DMRBS. Hell, I'd even put up with the unlimited sword.
But yeah... damn... Halo 2 is probably still my favorite for multiplayer. Sneak some of the better maps from Halo 3 (The Pit, Valhalla, Highground) and Reach (like... um... lol) and I'd be happy as a clam.
And I guess I'll say it; I kinda liked playing the Arbiter a bit. That first level where you're cutting the cables and everything just lurches to the side and snaps free? Felt like a fucking badass on an elevator to oblivion.
Holy shit, that's so accurate it's scary.
If you want super fast paced just get Nexuiz. Halo 2 and Halo 3 had a very good speed without being too fast.
Halo 2's speed and Halo 3's MLG speed were both pretty fast. It wasn't Unreal Tournament or Quake fast, but for the map sizes and flow of combat, both of those speeds were perfect, imo.

I would like an Instagib mode though, the DMR would be perfect for it.

Lowered Grav HIGH speed, instant respawn, flag touch return, can shoot with flag. Instant kill if shot anywhere.
