It's pretty rare nowadays. I wear a combination of the EVA/Recon. Looks pretty good actually

I wore EVA once I unlocked it because it makes it easier for others to scope in on my head as It's much more visible, then Security came along @ 100G and it looked to big and sexy, mostly big. I believe this makes Multiplayer a bit more challenging for me in the most subtle of ways without cheating.

Sort of like doing exorcise/training with wrist and ankle weights.

This only touches on gender support in the beginning, and its nice.
- But then Marcus branches out into much more interesting talk , like naming some of the influences to the storytelling style in Reach from Hollywood films, the Engine and retooling for increased detail with LODs even down to the geometric level and so forth,

Mark V in 3 was ugly. It looks really nice in Reach though.

I cannot wait to see Scarab 2.0 in Reach. I'm hoping for a mega fight similar to the end of Halo 3, but with jetpacks, Falcons, Phantoms and lots of grenade launcher action.

And there are a lot of detailed entries which are insightful and fun to read. But from a visual standpoint I wish they'd gone a different direction. (I still recommend it overall.)
Completely agree on all counts, it was a really weird choice to have it render-tastic, being honest it makes it look "cheap"/lazy, especially when lying next to the Art of Halo 3.
I do like the factual content, Forerunner related material especially.

Only in Versus and the player limit is still 4 which means you can play 2v2 or 3v1.

Makes sense. Can elites come down via drop pods? :D And is there proper matchmaking this time? If so, sold. Firefight has been my favorite addition to Halo other than Forge, and is where I'll be spending most of my time.

I don't think so, but matchmaking is in. With that and the new customisation options, Firefight should have some legs too.

So to confirm, all modes (coop, firefight, forge, custom games) would be available locally with the standard "1 box-2 players" limit? Would FF Versus also be available for 1v1ing on one box?

They haven't said anything that would suggest this ISN'T the case. (They've specifically confirmed 2-player splitscreen for coop/firefight.)

Kinda confused why it would be that way for the pistol though. It seems very strange to me. The sniper rifle is such a niche weapon with a specific use, the pistol is my go to baby.

I just hope there's plenty of ammo for my favorite weapons. I'm not someone who likes being forced to drop weapons (except for power weapons of course). I play Halo 1 in its entirety using three weapons 99% of the time: AR, pistol, shotgun. I've not been able to do that in any Halo game since, and it is fucking annoying. I remember picking up weapons and dropping them to move BRs onto the gondolas in Halo 2 so I could have more ammo for them. Such a pain in the ass.

No word yet, but I'm speculating that there will be separate hoppers for 2 vs 2 and standard firefight. Difficulty options and off the wall stuff will be in voting options.

As said though, this is total speculation. :D

I dunno; Invasion Slayer and Invasion were in the same hopper in beta. This could change, though obviously.

I think the division between a Co-operative experience and a vs. experience is a pretty big gap, bigger than say slayer vs. Objective.

Actually that brings up another change, I wonder if we will see campaign co-op matchmaking alongside firefight. Has bungie said anything about that?
 
Seeing these screens reminds me so much of Halo 1. Is anyone else gonna try to play as much of Combat Evolved in the final days before launch to have that direct correlation?

I was about to say that, actually. I'd have to be in a specific mood to actually desire playing VS.

As for campaign co-op matchmaking- I really hope so.
 
Team Headhunter! They really don't want me to put this game down once it comes out...

I'm really liking how the Reach versions of helmets fix the bodies better than they did in Halo 3, if you know what I mean - probably because of the way the armor is more bulkier/rounder now instead of more slim in Halo 3...

Note too all: regarding my above post concerning the bit about Customs, it has been updated. Please check it out.

I hope to no longer pollute the current OTs with Customs dribble, as some may have noticed recently due to a surge in new players/interest.

Sorry, and I offer my sincerest apologies for any misunderstandings/ making an ass of myself all this time. I assure you it were unintentional and due to a lack of my knowledge and understanding of HaloGAF at the time. :)

60 AI? i dunno, tbh i dont think thats right, its like too good to be true. I cannot imagine playing in a realtime 60 player battle, not even core sandbox games do that. Im sure its like 40 max or maybe 60 but they are spread out really far away so the the ones in the horizon have a cheap model and dumb AI. I doubt any console or most pc's could handle 60 (quality) AI while having such "higher fidelity" models.

Ugh, I hope there's an option to have clearly defined rounds along with a timer. That looked objectiveless.

Also wasn't there a Spirit in the E3 video? The one that dropped off a ghost which promptly exploded on someone's armor lock?
