Because your own ship will fire on you and that fast mind you. Besides, I think you can only use that thing one or two times, pretty good trade right there.

OK so the guy kept the trigger held down as he was getting blasted by the covenant ship, his fault then. Back to regularly scheduled programming.

Of the two times I went through the Firefight line at PAX, I had the high score both times. Of course, both times I snagged the target locator and went nuts with it. Managed a betrayal or two both times as well, which made it all sweeter. :D
 
So if I pre-ordered Legendary edition, does that mean my game box will have the Recon helmet, or will my statue's Spartans have Recon helmets on them?

If so, that shit's going on Ebay to pay for a new Reach console.
 
Based on all of the gameplay videos, I think I'm going to like the Forge World map variants the best (except Reflection, which I'm so hyped for). The bright blue sky, green hills, epic skybox all give me such a Halo CE feel. Can't wait to jump into Pinnacle the most, I think.

Your game box will have a redeemable code for your Recon helmet for use in multiplayer/campaign. The statues will all be replicas of each member of Noble Team, and won't all have Recon helmets on. All statues will be the same, unless you mismatch the weapons. :D

Legendary has the limited package inside along with the statue, etc. I think the game box is different in the limited/legendary version.

And...fail. I didn't notice that the saves were all out of order, I thought they would be listed in the order I saved them. I'm looking right now and save #6 is right between saves #57 and #63. Which is to say, scrolling through the 50 I have left, none are from the past two weeks. Looks like I'm done with my Fallout 3 game. :lol
 
Reviews hit in less than four hours. I'm very interested to see how it reviewed, I am expecting big things.
Still buying the game regardless, just would like to see what the game press thinks about Reach
 
Wow, what's the deal with the sniping in that vid?? He seems to be getting headshots just by aiming in the general direction of the enemies head.

I drove myself crazy earlier today trying to prune my saves down. Thankfully deleting Fallout 3's DLC'll be enough to install Reach so I'll just get to the saves later when I'm running low on space for Reach maps.

720's, I realized that my hearing kind of sucks, and I probably wont be able to the tell the difference with the Pros, or the Astros. I also realized thatI also wanted something I could easily carry over to my PC, so I could use for work and skype. I don't want to mess with batteries, and that 150 after tax is about my limit for price.

Ditto, when it first popped up in a stream I thought it was someone messing around on a custom map. Probably one of the most uninspired map designs ever. Even it does make sense gameplay wise...still looks unappealing.

5 hours into the campaign, no FPS drops graphically easily the best looking Halo game, and one of the best on the 360.

I ordered a copy from the guy on eBay, just like Kibbles did, with overnight shipping via USPS. I left work early (my last day at T-Mobile, woo hoo) because I thought the mailman would have left my package in my mailbox or at the front office by having them sign for it.

So I check my mailbox, nothing. Check the front office, nothing. As I'm going back to my apartment I happen to see the postal worker exiting the complex so I flag him down. Of course, he doesn't have my package with him. He had already taken it back to the post office, which by this time is closed. I asked if there was any way that I could get it from there after he finishes his route and drops off his truck. He hesitates at the thought. I quickly suggest that I could offer him a case of Sam Adams Summer Ale for his trouble. He liked that idea and took my number to call me when he was done. Success.

Long story short, I bribed a mailman with a case of beer to get my copy of Reach from the post office today instead of having to wait until Monday.
 
Are all new copies going to have the redeemable code for the recon helmet in the box, or is it just for pre-orders/day one sales?

I'm getting the CE but I have to wait a week or so..

all new copies, first print run will have the recon code, there is a couple different pre-order bonuses out there but you should be fine.

wtf this is weird. I have the system set at 720p. Everytime i get in heavy firefights there are frame drops.

I will try installing

Its in all new games in the US, preorder only everywhere else I believe.
