Bought one just after last Christmas, it was WWHD and Mario3D world that sold me on it.
Was feeling gamer fatigue after the 360, nothing on the ps4 or xbone was exciting me, so I went for my first Nintendo console since the SNES.
Been having an absolute blast, and my love of gaming is re-invigorated.
Still haven't gotten round to finishing 3D World, or even starting WWHD, as I have been playing a lot of indies, a lot of wii games (picked up for cheap), and some VC games too.
Standouts include: ZombiU, Pikmin3, w101, LegoCityU, DeusEx

C, NSMBU, Mario Galaxy1+2, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, Okami, Steamworld

ig, Shovel Knight, Knytt, Stick it to the Man, Art of Balance, Pushmo, Child of Light, Earthbound (SNES - never came out in UK), Mario Kart 8.
I ain't even got round to Tropical Freeze or Hyrule Warriors yet, and then there's Bayonetta1+2. Baffles me when people say WiiU had no games, and whilst retail 3rd party support is lacking, indie's are there in abundance.
Also just saw this 60fps Splatoon trailer, which is encouraging for the future - check it out:
