Set in Sharn of Eberron.

While it's not much, they put out a Ravenloft board game not too long ago.obonicus said:I don't think you have to worry. WotC isn't going to release a game based on a product they no longer support.

Manos: The Hans of Fate said:I agree, I almost feel like Obsedian should be hired to do story, quests, dialogue, and pre-planning on mechanics, and then production be done by some other studio.

My main issue with the more "recent" DnD games (NVM2 and even IwD2) are that they're really to complicated for a beginner to get into. Making a character is the stuff of nightmare for me, there's too many parameter to take in account, and I don't get the multiclass system anymore. I felt it was a lot more straightforward in the earlier games.
But anyway, lets hope whoever gets the license treats it better than Atari...

Count me in!
Bioware isn't a possibility, so there's no reason to worry on that front.Acosta said:I wold love to feel excited about the possibilities, but...
Bioware? I'm not even sure they would be interested anymore in licensed games at this point. And it´s pretty obvious a good part of the talent that made Baldur's Gate 2 possible is not there anymore -including Black Islem, that surely did their part on BG2-.
While FR and Eberron are probably going to be more likely, that Dark Sun is even around now bodes well for a game happening. In any case, what the hell, let's go crazy: Dark Sun/Ravenloft/Planescape made by Obsidian with enough time, and plenty of support. Wohooo!!

Effect said:True it has it's issues but this is the most ideal I think given their past work on D&D games. Have OE do the story, etc but let someone else handle the actual programing/development of the game.
