Have BotW reviews changed your mind about the Switch?

Not at all its still a system im happy to wait and see for a few years to see how it turns out, its peaked my interest and I love hearing opinions of it but no one game is worth the purchase of a unproven system.

Even a perfect reviewing game will not serve as a valid justification for me.

I'm just not enough of a Zelda fan, so I'm not buying a console for one game.

No. I was already considering it before reviews hit with previews. Reviews just cemented the fact that it's an outstanding game. Should I spend $400 for just Zelda? Probably not. But will I. Probably yeah.

This pretty much but I mean I figure it is also an investment. I would have eventually gotten it when it got enough games anyway and if I buy it now, come the fall when Mario and maybe Xenoblade is out I will just buy the games and not have to shell out for everything else

No, I skipped WiiU so I'm ok with getting subpar hardware to play Ninty's games. I knew from early on what I was getting, early adopter tax I'll chalk it up as...

Being able to play Zelda at work though is pretty worth it for me, I'll play this and get Mario Kart and that'll be all I play for the whole year until the new Mario title hits.

In a roundabout way...yes.

I was always planning to get it on the Wii U (digitally or on disc if I could find it).
But after seeing late game video this morning and knowing I wont be home for 3 days out the week this month I want to be able to just keep playing Zelda. It looks so good.

Nah, I need more than 1 game to play on the system. This does change things a bit and I may purchase when Mario Kart or Splatoon comes out rather than wait for Mario, though.

Certainly makes me want one earlier, but I'll pass for the time being. I WILL be getting one eventually as this obviously won't be the only amazing game to grace the Switch. Not sure why people are acting like this will be the only good game the system sees when it's only the launch week.

Also, I'm not really a fan of the 3D Zeldas unfortunately. I respect the hell out of them but always end up having less fun than I hoped.

I'm really glad it's reviewing well though. Nintendo needed this one to get the console off the ground!

No. I'm very interested in Zelda, more than in previous entries, but I'm not ready to spend money on a console and on a controller just because of one game. Maybe that will change in a few months, but right now, not a chance.

Obviously the game is reviewing exceptionally well, and ultimately a console is little without its software library. So, question in the title. Did you do a 360 and walk into a Gamestop?
Not even 1%, after Zelda then what? Mario fall 2017? I'll wait for Nintendo to offer a decent library of available games first

I'm actually interested in playing the game now in light of the reviews, but by and large I'm not passionate about Zelda at all and everything about the Switch is way too expensive for my liking (UK here). So the answer is no.

Did you see the other thread? Because they're surely back..

They aren't back, only by name.

The old Friend codes required both users to share unique numbers. ( Which was the main problem with it)

The Switch friend codes only require one user to share their code, I checked like a user can share their username.

Only difference is sharing a number rather than your username.

Not that big of a deal, in reality. However it is a slightly clumsy way to fix a problem that they themselves created (allowing you to change usernames).

No, still waiting for new Cemu release.

Oh, I didn't even think of this. I could wait for cheap versions of WiiU BOTW, though I don't even know if Cemu require a bios, I never looked it up since I wasn't interested in any wiiu games, I'd grab Bayonetta collection if it ran good on it though. I could forever retire my PS3 version (when it's the only version you have, the 30fps isn't bad. Ignorance is bliss).

I definitely like the look of the Switch, but having a good game at launch isn't gonna make me go out and buy one straight away.

After the Wii and Wii U, I'm still sceptical about the quality and number of 3rd party games it's going to have in the long term.

No.

No game justifies a plus £300 price point in this day and age.

The switch feels rushed and half baked. I can wait 12 months to see how it pans out. If that means i never get to play Zelda then so be it

Obviously the game is reviewing exceptionally well, and ultimately a console is little without its software library. So, question in the title. Did you do a 360 and walk into a Gamestop?

No, because Twilight Princess also had a stupidly high metacritic rating, and that was crap. Same goes for Skyward Sword. Neither of those titles were deserving of their 95% and 93% metacritic scores.

I'll wait for impressions of the Wii U version, but even know I'm not super excited about the game. Been stung too many times by reviewers inflating their Zelda scores.

Nope. I'm expecting it to be a great game and reviewed high.

No game other than that interests me in Switch though.

Not really. I mean I was already firmly in the switch camp and excited for zelda, but it doesn't make the system make any more sense to anyone but early adopters. It's on Wii U and hopefully a great experience for people that choose to play it there too.

No.

It's good that this may be the Zelda entry people have been waiting for but I'm not buying a $300 system for one game. Plus I'm waiting for reviews on the Wii U version of the game.

No. One thing is the game the other is the hardware.

Also i only buy a console when there are at least 10 games that i'm interested for. Now there's 1. Zelda.

No.
I've been mildly interested in Switch and always knew Zelda would score extremely well i.e. 90+.

But there's a gaming glut at the moment on various other platforms and it's not like Zelda copies will evaporate over time so I'm good waiting until xmas or 2018.
Too expensive also in the UK imo right now as well.
