Have we seen enough of Zelda U?

One of the best gaming reveals of all time? One of the most famous screenshots ever? No offense OP, but you are way too fanboyish to represent normal gamers (or even some Zelda fans like myself) and their willingness to blind buy this game.

Personally I am the most worried I have ever been for a 3D Zelda.

You took his post a little too personally. Yikes. Even resorted to calling him a fanboy. Stay classy.

I've seen nowhere near enough. In fact, the footage from TGA 2014 (I think?) even left a very sour taste in my mouth. Muddy textures, barren lands, and frame-rate tanked quite noticeably while zooming into the distance. So I'd very much like them to show it once more, probably at this E3, but this time a build that's almost done and polished to a certain degree.

I just one proper E3 trailer and that's it. After that I'm going on a blackout. I want the experience to be all fresh.

Link riding his horse through a cookie cutter forest is not particularly exciting.
The 2014 trailer was good, but that was so long ago. The game may have changed quite a bit from then.

It's announcement debut is not typical of Nintendo which usually waits until games are further along before showing them. I think it was never more than in a prototype phase until last year, but they decided to talk about it because they hoped that would increase Wii U interests and sales, but that didn't pan out for them.

Yeah, and looking at the TGA 2014 footage it's not for the better. Very rough around the edges, definitely not even close to being finished back then (release date was still Fall 2015).

I think that's why they've been reluctant to show it more, they probably want to polish it more before flooring us this E3.

No, I'd like more info to determine if this will be a good open-world Zelda or an open-world Aonuma Carnival of Puzzelda Choo Choo Train Wreck™

I do not yet have confidence that this will be a good Zelda game, but I am hopeful.

Have we seen enough of this game that we've seen nothing of? I don't really understand the point of this thread. Diehard fans were always going to be there day 1 regardless of what is shown.

nope, we really haven't see much of it. there was the video of them watching a video but all we really got was sight of the new visuals and a quick look at the map.

we'll be seeing more that's for sure.

We've seen nearly nothing about Zelda U and yet I know some people that don't like Link's design.
I like Link's design so far because it implies some outcomes. I think this Link is being hunted down (would fit with the open world) and/or the classic hero garb needs to be sought after.

Personally, I've seen more than enough. Way too much. I feel like the entire game has already been spoiled. Aonuma should just shut up.

I would like to get one final big trailer where it show cases a decent amount and ends with the subtitle of significance being shown and a release date. I think it would only be enough then.

As E3 approaches, learn to distinguish fake titles for the new Zelda:

Anything that has a word like darkness, sadness, shadow, battles, or anything relating to evil, is going to be fake.

Actually, everything will be fake, because so far a Zelda title has never leaked.

The Legend of Zelda: Horses Don't Hit Trees

I could use some more info.

It's basically confirmed to be an NX launch title at the end of the year. It's been leaked.
"Basically" meaning that's what a good number of people are guessing. It's a good guess, but lets not pretend it's anything more than a guess.

No, it's been confirmed with the reveal of Pokémon Sun and Moon. It's a sure thing.

I'd actually prefer it be a NX only title so it could take advantage of the hardware. I think it's pretty obvious they want it on NX as well.

Bro, why lie to yourself?

It'll only disappoint you when your delusion is broken.

What exactly do I have to be disappointed about? Either way it's coming to Wii U. Until Nintendo directly says that the game has a dual release I will assume it's coming to Wii U only. Would it be nice for it to come to NX? Sure, but the position here to prevent disappointment is to expect the game only on Wii U.

Enough for me but I do expect something at E3 naturally.

I speed up time by forgetting about a game until it's actually near. I've trained my mind well.

True, the reason being because when they do show they game, they'll show the better looking NX version.

Exactly. Something similar happened with Final Fantasy Versus XIII a couple of year ago, before it was re-unveiled as FFXV. The director even said the game was ready to be shown, but couldn't because of reasons "not related to the game itself". Of course, the reason ended up being they were waiting for PS4 to be officially announced and shown, and at that point the game was re-unveiled as FFXV.

I feel like the exact same thing is happening with Zelda Wii U here, besides the fact that Aonuma/Miyamoto aren't teasing a NX release at all. They could have definitely shown off Zelda at a Nintendo Direct or E3 last year, but they're clearly waiting for NX to have it's grand re-unveiling. Complete with epic trailer.

Until it's coming out of Nintendos mouth it's not confirmed at all. It's pretty likely it will come to NX but it would not be the first time a leak being only partially true.

Yeah all those darn puzzle Zeldas, that thing that has been in existence since 1991.

No, we didn't see anything at all. I don't want Nintendo to spoil all the game like with SS promotion (I was naive enough to think that, as usual, the three regions were just the first part of the game and after that a new map/dark world would uncover), but I want to see something more than Link in a plain with Epona. Some gameplay, the first dungeon/boss, your village/town, some interaction with the map and NPCs, and MUSIC from the game.

At this point I'm not convinced we've seen any of it.

Started to feel this way after last year's delay and subsequent absence from the public eye. While there has never been a mainline Zelda game that could be considered "bad" even from the most liberal of standards, they way this game has only seen 14secs of direct feed video and NO AUDIO WHATSOEVER , makes me lean toward the game being reinvented on the fly.

Part of me feels that Okami "Stole The Thunder" from Twilight Princess and I feel like there must have been another game that did the same thing to Zelda Wii U and I would guess that game is THE WITCHER 3. I know its not really close to being a Zelda game but there is something about it that makes me think that if that game didn't come out when it did then we may have already been playing The Legend of Zelda Wii U

We ain't seen shit!

The most strange thing is that they haven't even announced what the amiibo connection will be between TP:HD and Zelda U, even when TP:HD has been released.

Will this be the first time a Nintendo console won't have a unique zelda of its own during its generation?? (Gamecube had Wind Waker)

Most likely. Quite sad when you think about it. How could the Wii U become such a mess?... I'm glad I own one though.

Assuming that it's out this Fall, we'll get a more thorough preview of the game around E3.

Nintendo always announces Zelda games too early. It doesn't get people to buy their current system in great numbers, so I am not sure why they don't just hold off until the game is closer to release.
