He already explained the reasons why. Sometimes you just have doubts and hesitate on creating something you'll regret later. It's happened before here where threads turn into complete backfires. It's not only limited to GAF though. It could be in any forum.

GAF is a highly moderated forum, and content is supposed to be PC. If you want to post these toys, you should probably do so at a forum where the user base isn't so tightly controlled.

(I'm using your post as a springboard for a point I want to make. I don't want you to feel like I'm targeting you.)

It's GAF's mainstream status that ought to be emphasized here, not the restrictions that allow it to be so. This forum is frequented by a great deal of game industry members, and as such our community enjoys a direct line to companies whose products many of us care about. With this comes a certain influence and recognition. These are privileges. To keep them, a reasonable standard of quality for subject matter and discourse needs to be maintained. At the very least, GAF must be reputable enough for people to access without putting their jobs in jeopardy. That's where the ToS come in.

I've lurked a lot of backwater shit holes in my time, so if you're feeling charitable enough to accept anecdotal evidence, I can assure you that we are not missing out on much of value just because GAF is subject to stricter rules than many other forums. In fact, I largely attribute the great culture we have here to GAF's selective admission policy and relatively strict quality control. If you have any doubt that GAF's rules are conducive to an agreeable balance of the thoughtful and the impulsive, the tactful and the tasteless, the creative and the pointless, pay a visit to the GameFAQs or IGN boards sometime.

We have it much better than you'd tend to think.

People donate tons of money to them because they think they are an umbrella organization of local humane societies when in actuality, they have no affiliation with any local animal shelters and give less than 1% of their budget to them. They're an extremely wealthy radical animal rights group that's far more dangerous than PETA, yet people respect them simply because of their misleading name. People need to give to local shelters, not big wealthy national organizations that just waste their money.

I've withheld making a thread because I've very passionate on the subject, and I fear it would end up doing more harm than good. I try to steer away from issues like this on GAF, simply because I use GAF as a means to relax. Bringing up issues like this would just make my GAF experience infinitely more stressful.

Just don't post it on NPD day. That will make your experience exponentially more stressful.
