Zoo Tycoon - the old isometric graphics hold up a lot better nowadays than the blocky 3d in Zoo Tycoon 2, imo. Fun game.

Zoo Tycoon 1 was a lot of fun.

Its sort of unfair to group all these Tycoon games. Some are legit well done and developed games and others are cheap cash ins.

The "Tycoon" name by itself can't be trademarked and any developer can use it on their game titles. Thus we get weird stuff like Red Light Tycoon, Donald Trump's Real Estate Tycoon!, Toilet Tycoon and MMORPG Tycoon.

[Dedication Through Light]

I loved the Ski Resort Tycoon and Mall Tycoon, they had a certain charm to them.

The ruler though will also be RollerCoaster Tycoon with the Corkscrew Follies and Loopy Landscapes, and even RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 (since you can get over 5000 people!) in the park. I love these games and still play them on occasion.

I like RCT 3, it just had a few hiccups on occasion such as crashes.

Railroad Tycoon - Forget super leg smash, pie face and super sandwich, there is nothing more surreal than choosing to sit for hours while little blocks move from one point to another, getting excited when a load of coal arrives, and crossing your fingers as two trains inch slowly towards each other on a potential collision course.
