I've tried to refrain from jumping in this thread because I really don't have a concern with this game, the thread is entertaining in it's own right, but those off screen grabs are not good, not by a long shot.

not only that, but offscreen shots make games look MUCH better than it really looks like. see pgr4 or even forza 2/gt5p. looks borderline REAL LIFE offscreen shots.

Yeah, basically all of those areas are a mess of low-res textures and XBox quality geometry in the actual game. If Haze is anything it isn't pretty.

As Big time Time Splitters fan (and in less extend a FR fan), I acknowledge this game is well to say the least a turd.
People get over it and move on, not all exclusive PS3 games are good...

Sounds like your have not played the retail version? I think the reviewers needed a whipping horse, maybe they just maxed and there perfect score quota and Haze was sacrificed.

The funny thing about all this is that no one on here that is or did play the game is making this game out to be anything better then it really is. Its definetly a average shooter. Just everyone wants to think its one of the worst games ever made. So basically take the most negative review scores + sony/xbox fanboys + ammount of people that havn't even played the game that are shitting on it + neogafs hate for all things average = this board.

Back on topic of the actual game. I can see that the multiplayer had a lot more thought than the single player. Team Assault is actually really good. When you have even games it's a see-saw game with momentum swinging either way. It's a shame that everyone is so obsessed with how average the single player is instead of focusing on what was obviously the part of the game the devs spent most time on.

LTTP: Haze (you know its really NOT THAT BAD).

Imo Haze is very much like a hi def looking ps2 shooter. A sorry excuse for the technology behind a ps3 game yes. Yet is it fun? Suprisingly yes. I haven't gotten bored yet and I'm playing the game on hard so I'm dying quite often.
