I think it's the best class in Arena by a mile.Paladin is my most successful class in Arena.
watching Innkeeper's Invitational right now, everyone is topdecking like crazy. Reminds me of my arena runs!
e: and of course legendaries everywhere
The winner's 3 decks consisted of 2, 2, and 1 legendaries. Hardly legendaries everywhere.
Yep, legendaries are not a sure way to win.
maybe not, but you pretty much need certain legendaries in a slow deck like priest or druid
I don't have a single legendary in my pretty successful Priest deck.

Just watched the Invitational and wow @ Krip/Reckful both throwing games away with the Mage deck.
When did Kripp throw the game? Only thing I noticed was not using the Ooze, then he got walloped for about 20 damage out of nowhere with the charge guys, can't really call that a "mistake".
Not using the Ooze there was absurdly greedy. When did Kripp throw the game? Only thing I noticed was not using the Ooze, then he got walloped for about 20 damage out of nowhere with the charge guys, can't really call that a "mistake".
Well between the other 2 cards I had an option of picking, that was the best. How many better cards could have won you it instead?![]()
Last card game I played was YuGiOh so I'm a bit hesitant dropping down money for a game I don't know is going to have a decent lifetime or not.
Playing normal mode is fucking annoying.
All I see are Mages with spell only decks, full controls Priest and bullshit Hunters with Hounds combo. Especially Hunters are frequent and annoying, game looks exactly the same i play with them and You cant do nothing, except to pray that they get screw by RNG.
There is no way to play experimental and fun decks there and have fun.
I really enjoy this game, however if you're not planning to pay for card packs it's a really long grind to get cards. 3 wins gets you 10 coins and it costs 100 coins to get one card pack which contains 5 cards. So essentially 30 wins for 5 cards.

are you joking? Of course that was a mistake.
If Reckful plays it, he wins, no? He just needed 1 more turn. At that stage of the game a "better option" isn't going to exist.Having lethal in your hand and not realizing it (reck) is throwing the game. Sure kripp was greedy in holding his ooze, he was hoping to use it on either a weapon with more swings left or a better weapon. But a monumental mistake that blew the match? I don't think so, artosis had the RNG gods in his favor for sure.

Blah, Krip I meant. (I'm tired.) He needed the Slime on the field to give himself enough damage on board to threaten lethal in 2 turns and take -3 damage off the field for the Warrior deck. It's effectively a drain life for 3 at that point and by not playing it, he left himself in a situation where he couldn't get enough damage through.Oh I agree, reckful had the match won, pyro and frostbolt in his hand with a kobold out.

Reckful really showed what the deck is truly capable of. I didn't "get" Ice block/armor until he used them.Ah yeah, kripp makes more sense there lol. I just rewatched the match and yeah if he plays the ooze he'll have 16 dmg the next turn (if artosis doesn't take out a creature) with that pyro in his hand. Is a pretty crazy match to watch again, kripp got cocky. Wasn't as bad as reckful's misplay (having lethal), but yeah kripp could have threatened lethal.
I have noticed a lot more mage stalls decks in play mode today, isn't a lot of fun to play against. One mage played at least 8 secrets on me, other just froze me for about 4 straight turns... Guess people watched the streams lol.

Mage is incredibly difficult to play well though since it's a razor's edge burn deck.
I officially just stop playing arena now. I know what the fuck I'm doing, I have played hundreds of games, I can have a near perfect deck yet I run into the same bullshit deck twice or my opponent happens to draw exactly the cards he needs to whop my ass. I have like a 80% win rate in ranked, fuck this
I'm pretty sure I have a 75-80% win rate in Arena. It's not random.I officially just stop playing arena now. RNG luck is like 90% part of this particular CCG.I officially just stop playing arena now.
