The only Legendary I have is Archmage Antonidas. Mage is actually the class I have the highest quality cards for.

But I don't want to play Mage so...

I know I can Disenchant them but I don't really want to. What if I regret it later? Plus collecting the cards is part of the fun for me -- even if they are cards I won't be using.

3 games in a row I didn't draw a 2 or 3 cost minion until turn 4 or 5. It's shit like that, that makes me want to put my head through my monitor.

That's a good card, and will probably see more use with the pyro nerf.

Observation - for Pallys, you want to curve 2 into 4 with a coin. For Mages, you actually want to curve 1 (Mana Wyrm) into ideally. 2 drops don't do a ton for the class, especially since many of them are removal.

My first legendary was Al-Akir the shitlord. I went from elation from seeing the gold glow around the card to immense disappoint :(

The next legend I got was Rag so I guess that made up for it

I thought that way too. Then I remembered fuck Lorewalker Cho.

LOL, they keep pushing the maintenance back.

Every time I finish an Arena run, I tell myself "Guess I'm done until the patch", log out and then see more time added.

I have another hour, guess I can do another run...

These are the mage openings I go up against every single time:

mana wyrm + coin + mirror image
- hardest for me to deal with and pretty much impossible on turn 2 due to no coin for myself.

coin + sorceress apprentice + mirror image, arcane missiles round two
- easier to deal with but only if I have backstab which is not always, sometimes I spend an eviscerate cause I know any minion I play is going to be efficiently removed by frost bolt or arcane missiles.

mana wyrm + coin + arcane missiles
-generally the easiest to deal with since I can turn 3 deadly poison weapon remove but definitely the highest damage opening I come across. Extra annoying when I play an argent squire and it is dead from the missiles, every time.

Mages will probably have the best openings in the game now that imp has been nerfed. At least versus rogue I feel. Maybe my deck just sucks vs them now.

I got emailed a code from Blizzard a week or two, and the email is gone now :(

You could always try to see if the game is already on your Blizzard account (on the main site portal). There's always hope. With that said, I think open beta is supposed to be coming real soon.

Alright, this isn't just "bad luck" anymore. I literally haven't gone second in days, with the exception of ONE match. The Rogues I'm constantly going against are more than loving the guaranteed coin.

Its also quite easy for rogue to fall into the trap of becoming too reliant on the coin. Its like a drug that when gone has you crash to the real world pretty hard.

I hate how cheesy the whole thing is. Like, it's got this whole 80's game show vibe alongside the awkward production values. The girls are pandering, sure, but the like "tips" that appear on-screen are probably even worse ("Spells are cards that, like condoms, are one time use only" for instance).

There's a severe lack of professionalism in the whole thing.

I never read those before since they go by too fast for me (I'm a slow reader because reasons). That's... bad.

Sure. But I'm never going to use it. I just find mage boring.

So this is how you kill a mage. I really wish i could have saw his face

Enjoying the beta so far, mostly for arenas. Haven't sunk any actual money into the game, and don't really feel like I have to. Just do dailies until I have the money for an arena, struggle to win a few, open a pack of cards and save up for another run.

Only legendary I have is Fordring, which is nice since I generally enjoy Paladin when I do play constructed for dailies, though my favorite class for that is Priest. I know they're not all that great higher in the ranking system, but with my craptastic playing ability, I'm in a bracket where I can generally win some games. Just a lot of fun removal and card draws and stuff.

Highest arena I've gone is 7-3, which I'm quite proud of.

Just a tip for playing priest, don't look at northshire cleric really as a turn 1 play. So many priests rely on that and get hammered because of that. The ones I lose to have early neutral minions on the board and trade and save their removals mostly for mid-late game to which point they can set up some nasty buff combos while getting cards for healing with northshire cleric.

Every once in a while I do lose to a lightwell that is buffed to 10/10, but that seems the least reliable way to play priest and gets beaten by my sap/silences or just generally killed off if I have the right cards on turn 2.

That's actually pretty stupid against a mage
Even though most Mage don't run silence now, there are many ways of dealing with that... a freeze mage will perma freeze it and prob only have to go for your face with spells

Lots of complaints on bnet forums for the nerfs. Some are arguing OTK needs to be in the game for variety. But I think without the interrupts of other card games, that is just a dumb notion.

Also its kinda crazy today I played like 90% mages in casual.

Actually I'm starting to see more Paladins overall than Mages. A few Druids too. Mages stick with you because they are the cheapest, most annoying class overall, but Paladins are very strong and people are catching up to that.

Priests are definitely the fewest, outside of the usual gimmicky Inner Fire builds.

This is my current rogue deck, and probably close to if not exactly what I will be using come the patch. It is already faring 10x better than my previous iteration a couple pages back.

I thought sunfury protector might have a place in my deck. So far I don't think it does. Instead of having 2x DOA I have decided to go with 1 DOA and 1 senjin "tazdingo" shieldmasta. Also put a second yeti in, at least as a placeholder, cause I can't think of a more suitable 4 drop atm and the gnomish engineer didn't seem to be that useful so instead of her I have another acolyte of pain.

I dropped argent squire as well. I don't think argent squire + backstab fits well. Too many low cc and backstab > argent squire, nothing is > deadly poison, and blade flurry is too good as a surprise AOE. Just beat a warlock today cause of 3 damage aoe on turn 3 (he had like 5-6 minions buffed by imp and a second imp would've also died to it). Fan of knives seems like a suitable replacement, but it too needs to be combo'd with spell damage imo to be worth it I feel.

BTW, I don't think novice engineer is worthless in rogue decks, but I'm going to try loot hoarder out for now. I love seeing mage waste their turn removing. I also think it impacts tempo much more than even engineer due to how much people like 3/2 2 drops.

Also, turn 7 sprint while a mage wastes his entire turn on flamestrike is pretty much sealing games for me.

No Scrubs in that Rogue deck?

I would honestly replace the Acolytes with Scrubs. You already have two Loot Hoarders, Sprint and Azure Drake.

I thought Loot Hoarder was the Novice replacement?

You only have one strong 2 drop minion in Faerie Dragon. Without Scrubs you will usually not have the best start, you would need Poison all the time.

Once you get all the Legendaries, you can try towards Zoombuh's list. It's one of the more common mid-range Rogue decks I saw at the higher ranks.

I mean, at the Legendary-ish level, it's just another viable deck. Nothing more, nothing less. At lower ranks of play, maybe it's warping things a bit much (ala Starving Buzzard concerns) but most the Warrior control decks are just "normal" decks.

Really, the only one I'm sad for is the loss of 0 Mana Charge and what that meant for Warriors: Not having to rely on Leeroy for your big Charge finisher like most other decks do. We'll probably just end up seeing Whirlwind/Inner Rage/etc. Grommash plays (aka, Warrior Pyro) instead I suppose.

I think it's generally that Mage > Rogue/Shaman/Paladin in some order with it coming down to Mage just having the most consistent card selection due to the low rarity of their big cards. On top of that, Fire Blast just serves as a generic +1 damage buff as needed for trades. Paladin also have a lot of their big power cards at the common rarity which helps a lot, though it's almost entirely shifted towards 4-drops.

I would also carry only one Blade Flurry. Two of them in hand leads to dead weight situation and sometimes you aren't even happy to have one.

Basically I would replace one Blade Flurry and one Acolyte of Pain for two Scrubs.

Apparently now warsong commander will give minions a permanent charge buff so you can play a worgen, inner rage, then double attack. At least that is how the wording appears to be since it no longer appears to be a passive field wide buff, more of an activate when X occurs buff.

Also its possible that if you have a gorehowl up, play bloodsail raider, he could get the charge buff before becoming a 9/3 minion. That could be a path to making a OTK within reasonable reach. Just warsong commander (3), bloodsail (2), x2(2), worgen (3), inner rage (0) = 30 damage... 6 cards. Probably can do it better somehow I am guessing.

edit:
That linked deck does look pretty good. I don't have any of those legendaries though lol, which there are 7 of. Its definite more of an aggressive based deck. Although I'd say sylvanas and cairne are maybe exchangeable once the patch hits imo. Sylvanas is a little bit better than cairne if the mind control effect ever goes off on something half decent.

I just played against a terrible warrior that went for my face the whole time

he added me to say "ur sht fgt" and removed me right away

that was satisfying

EDIT : I added him again and he called me a virgin nerd fagget :(

So satisfying to take out onyxia and her entire brood with eviscerate + blade flurry. It was a bit overkill tho cause I had azure drake on the field, double deadly poison on my hero power so 6 damage from blade flurry and 5 damage from eviscerate. I didn't want to sacrifice my molten giant and just played the azure drake. In retrospect I could've saved the azure drake a turn, but no worries. I was a few points short of lethal so at least I didn't miss that. He ended up conceding 2 turns later. He even bought himself a turn with the 8 heal spell they have.

I'm less interested in the 5-6-7+ card combos since they take up considerable space in your hand and are dead cards when you're not planning to combo them out. The Warrior deck I really wanted to run was Alexstraza/Gorehowl backed up with other high value cards (Rag, Ysera, etc.) in a control shell. It's still doable to an extent but it basically just seeks to Grommash combo instead and that's less interesting to me since I don't like Grommash that much (/I don't have him and don't want to craft him before the Neutrals I'd need for the deck >>). Honestly, I think I mostly wanted the deck as an excuse to double-up on Alexstraza value since I need to craft her for my post-patch Warlock deck anyway :x

As for Bloodsail, I'd imagine she would not get Charge since she's (2+X) once actually in play. Like, Mirror Entity triggers after her Battlecry, not before, so Warsong Commander would probably be a similar case.

It's probably a meta-game choice. Sylvanas at 6 is still really good if only because these series of nerfs will make Control decks a bit better which gives more high cost targets (potentially, anyway). Cairne is just kind of a dumb minion. Nothing special about him, really, just that he's there as an effective 4/10. Not that this makes him bad, just that he's purely for stat value.

And, yeah, it's like 30% Legendaries :x

Just got into the beta.

Have most people purchased cards? It seems that after you beat the AI, acquiring new cards is a rather slow process.

I think the problem I, and a few other people had with the idea of the nerfs was that in Blizzard's comment they seem to want you to play the game in one particular way, battle with minions for board control, I don't like that idea, I don't like the idea that any deck that finds a way to step outside of that paradigm is going to be brutally murdered. That these OTK decks were nerfed is not the primary issue but the intent of blizzard with respect to how they want people to play the game is troublesome.
