Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Will Be Released on August 8 2017 | New Trailer

Thanks. Not entirely sure I'm a fan of what they're going for with the gameplay. The graphics and presentation are amazing, but the combat against the big guy looks pretty repetitive as he's really hard to stagger and her range of moves seems limited, unless perhaps there's a skill tree and it opens up later. And I know one of the core themes is tackling schizophrenia and mental health issues, but I'm not a fan of the voices whispering to her constantly and I strongly dislike the enemies just spawning in when she defeats the previous ones. Will probably need to see more but based on this I think I won't be pre-ordering.

I hope it's successful, simply because we need more reasonably priced games that are high quality. The current trend of £40 + £20 season pass is bonkers, if it weren't for CDKeys I'd never get to play games while they're still relevant.

I skiped a bit through that 10 minute gameplay (I don't want to spoil my experience with full 10 minutes of it, if the game is only a couple of hours long) and I like the combat. It feels more grounded and less flashy and I didn't expect it to be like that. Just a little bit more feedback from hits would be nice, though. They don't have to explode and splatter all over the place and they actually do show feedback, but it just needs a little bit more.

However, I was amazed how the audio actually contributes to the gameplay, where the inner voice told Senua 'behind you' as the enemy attacks and she/the player turned around and blocked the blow.
