Wow, those spoilers are awful in that train-wreck-of-the-year type. But I should know better than expecting good thing out of Heroes.

Well, watch the show first. Because it's pretty damn good.

Interesting, at least.

Adrian Pasdar has always been the best actor on the show, and now they've finally given him something worthwhile. It also raises some metaphysical questions like some weird permanent fusions from DBZ.

Ugh. I don't really know how I feel about how this season ended.

Seemed very anticlimatic. Kind of disgraces Nathan's character to kill the real him but have Sylar brainwashed into becoming him.

I hate how all the characters don't really seem to entwine with each other very well at the end of every season. You think they would stick around with each other or something to help one another out but nope. Just everyone goes home.

damn.

that was a serious episode.

but thanks to our very own kibbles and his smart alec way of giving spoilers w/o directly giving spoilers I knew Nathan was going to die weeks in advance.

thanks kibbles!

:l

not

Anyway, when does the next season start?

Holy shit. What a great finale. The setup for the next season has gotten me super excited. I want to see where they go with Hiro and Ando next. As for Nathan/Sylar or Nalar if you will, the sneak preview into next season where he changes the clock is a great touch. It truly is a haunting thing when you think about it.

That was a good episode, but what is going to happen to Hiro? I was hoping we would somehow see some more Future Hiro...maybe in the next volume

Looking forward to catching this on Hulu tomorrow!

On a somewhat bad note... I got really curious and I have been watching season 2.

Yeah... there are a lot of cringe worthy moments (most involving Claire) and the amount of stupidity that goes on is quiet extraordinary. But you know, at the very least it seems to have some sort of story going. Watching the Four months ago episode and everything is falling into place rather nicely.

That was a good episode.

Up until the final twist, which was fucking terrible. How about you just kill a character off? No plot twists or anything. If Zachary Quinto is leaving Heroes, why not just... kill him? Doing that whole switcharoo crap is just silly.

And how fucking lame is it that we couldn't see the big fight? Come on, the budget isn't THAT small where you can't show a 20 second fight. How is it that Smallville can pull off small mediocre fights with no budget, but Heroes can't?

How great would it have been to simply see the three of them fighting, Peter get knocked away, and Nathan and Sylar both beating each other to death. Boom, two characters down, Nathan goes out like a hero and not in a completely anti-climatic way, and Sylar finally gets what was coming to him and Quinto can leave the show.

They could have just brought him back using Clairs blood :| but I guess Sylar's actor had to do Start Trek...

That's the worst thing about this show. The writers don't keep track of their own plot devices and the interactions between each characters. So every now and then we get crappy plotholes like this.

I'm just looking forward to the scene where The Hatian walks passed Nathan and all the "abilities" fall off him and he turns back into Sylar and he's all like - WTF?! then his healing power kicks in, fixes his brain damage, and he just goes forkin' apeshit.

And then Mama Patrilli and Noah go, "oh yea.... we forgot about that!"

and then claires blood brings back the real Nathan and heals Hiro and... everything goes back to the same thang

Meh on the finale, I thought it was a little too slow and deliberate with far too much shape shifting bullshit, there's potential for next year, but then again there is always potential with Heroes.

I like Nylar.

That's what I'm saying. It's pretty stupid to do something like this.

I like the way you think sir :lol

Still though... they nerfed Hiro beyond repair.. did they do that because the time stopping effect was getting expensive?
And Nathan still only has one power.. not cool :|

I wouldn't mind it that much, especially with that final scene, if it didn't seem like "Oh fuck, Quinto is jumping the ship! How do we kill off Sylar!?"

I do remember hearing an actor was done with the show after this year, and now it looks like we know who.

Not very exciting, but I enjoyed it very much. Hopefully this clean start is good for the show.

Thoughts on the Season Finale

- Nathan's prophecy earlier on in the episode is fulfilled

- I think Matt created a variant of the whole "imprisonment in delusion" he used several times in S2, suppressing Sylar's own memories and "promoting" Nathan's memories.

- Sylar gets his wish to be someone else (I'm with Seph, "Nylar" works good)

- Angela gets to keep "Nathan" around for a while longer

- That possible future from Season One is still on the table but with a twist. Nylar could become president at some point in the future, seeing as he is now a legitimate Senator (minus being a psycho).

- Even if Sylar somehow resurfaced, he could plausibly seek means to repress it again (I mean, who wouldn't? I wouldn't want to know I was a serial killer when I had a family and a good job for the last little while).

- Claire's blood? Uh, do you seriously want this bullshit to remain canon? It's better off forgotten forever.

Disappointed in the ending, just kill Sylar already dude is going to have a Hollywood career now.
The closed door fight scene was such a copout, whats wrong with a simple room of laser bolts and then the two guys going off the balcony wtf...

I am going to watch next season I guess, but this show is off season pass now, I'll just watch for a GAF thread telling me which episodes to watch and catch it on Hulu :(

Did Sylar take real Nathans ability?

If not, Plothole 2249857098: What is Claire, Peter, or even Nylar himself going to think when he cant fly?

I personally understand why they wouldn't want to "kill" sylar just yet. The last 5-6 episodes have been on Fix and cleanup duty, and killing Sylar your biggest Villian in the middle of all of that would be dumb. You would want to dedicate a very nice intricate plot around the whole thing, thats were I think this might be going.

5 years gone, we are almost there LOL.
