Amir0x said:There's no way this could be a brand new engine, could it? I suppose it could be, although it'd be pointless considering they are trying to acheive the same effects (with better lighting, of course). I think they have a lot going on, so they might want to go the cheaper route... but Killer 7 is a good looking game, all they need is to dust up some of the aliasing.
thanks. looks awesomeWario64 said:youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4U4236lzUg

The game is being published by Marvelous and/or Spike in Japan. I imagine that they're already arranging North American publishing. They must have some good contacts at Atlus after Contact on DS.Gigglepoo said:So who the heck is going to publish this game? Capcom is through with Grasshopper, right? Maybe they can trick Atlus or Majesco. They publish everything.

Looks great.
Batongen said:I actually think the voice acting is supposed to sound "cheesy". At least for the character Travis touchdown. I am sure there are more characters that sound totally different.
Really. As someone who doesn't play many action games I found Killer 7 to be very smooth, and not at all annoying. The on rails actually kept me from getting frustrated with the game and it's one of the few action games I've beaten, and would play again.Amir0x said:I just hope it's not on rails. Killer 7 had some of the worst controls of any game I've played in the last generation. I imagine they'd try to recapture some of it, Wiimote seems like a natural fit for the games aiming mechanic.

The hell. I was about to post about how it sounded just like Branded to Kill but you beat me to it. Pistol Opera's a sequel to it?? How did I not know this. I'm ashamed!Flynn said:The story sounds similar to Seijun Suzuki's movie Pistol Opera.
At the end of the trailer the girl tells him to aim for the top of the hitman pops, doesn't she? I assume that's the plot of the game.kruskev said:Where did you get info on the story?
Eh, I liked it just as. My action game of the generation, to be sure!Amir0x said:Yes. It's absolutely terrible - any number of superior approaches that would have worked infinitely better. If it's one of the few action games you've beaten, though, I can't help you there :lol

fresquito said:One of the biggest tiumphs for K7 was being on rails. The game not only broke through barriers of graphical, audio and story traditional conceptions. It also broke with estrablished gaming formulas. The fact that it was on rails created an atmosphere where no matter how big the scenario was, you´d never get lost. Thus refraining for the stupid exploration found in most action games, where there´s a whole world to explore and so little to find.
