Hillary Clinton officially launches presidential campaign

Obama was the incumbent.

Remember what happened in 2000?

8 years of prosperity. Global peace. Insane economic growth.

A decade where the Democrats were strong, and Newts Republicans were stumbling all over themselves.

And we got Bush.

Hillary is no Al Gore. If shes on the ballot, it won't be left to hanging chads, she'll be making her concession speech for the 11pm news.

She's definitely no Al Gore. Al Gore was drifting between losing and tieing from the start.

I think it was simply an era where democrats had no chance. Democrats were lucky to find Bill Clinton who was such a good a politician he was able to overcome that negativity towards Democrats, along side the ability shift focus to the faults of the other side. Al Gore started at a deficit by simply being a democrat, and never did the things required to latch onto Bill's success to fully overcome that deficit.

And I think Hillary Clinton is definitely not Andrew Cuomo. For the most part, I'd say Cuomo is a politician to be in the pockets of the rich, Clinton is in the pockets of the rich to be a politician. She'll do whatever the party tells her to do, and the party is becoming pretty liberal lately.

I don't know if I'm gonna vote for her or not. It's early, and I tend to lean against political families and her Walmart board of director's ties bug me. However, I think her 2.5 billion dollar campaign is going to market her as a decisive leader that is going to absolutely annihilate the GOP

Wrap it up, it's over again:
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/15/u...onwas-asked-about-email-2-years-ago.html?_r=0
WASHINGTON — Hillary Rodham Clinton was directly asked by congressional investigators in a December 2012 letter whether she had used a private email account while serving as secretary of state, according to letters obtained by The New York Times.

But Mrs. Clinton did not reply to the letter. And when the State Department answered in March 2013, nearly two months after she left office, it ignored the question and provided no response.

The query was posed to Mrs. Clinton in a Dec. 13, 2012, letter from Representative Darrell Issa, the Republican chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Mr. Issa was leading an investigation into how the Obama administration handled its officials’ use of personal email.

“Have you or any senior agency official ever used a personal email account to conduct official business?” Mr. Issa wrote to Mrs. Clinton. “If so, please identify the account used.”

One thing that will be fun about Hilary winning is that it will be in spite of all the effort Republicans put into pinning Benghazi on her. Republicans have mastered the art of wasting everyone's time.

Why do politicians almost always so overdo it. Just speak to people like they're not a bunch of idiots who watch reality television all day and listen to stupid music oh wait.

I'm excited that's she's running again and hope she wins. I was a bit disappointed she didn't make it in 2008 but didn't mind Obama winning. Plus if Obama's popularity remains the same in key swing states and she strategises the same way he did she could make them bluer and make the Republicans path to victory in future elections more difficult so they finally realise the changing demographics and start to become more moderate on issues.

I think her path to victory is very strong but anything could happen so I'm nervous something major could happen and kill her campaign. It seems the American electorate can be quite fickle so any silly mistake could cost her(email scandal obviously overblown).

I also think it would be amazing for America to elect their first black President then follow with the first female one! I hope she doesn't lose though as it might set a bad precedent and the American media might start saying that America isn't ready for a female president which may hurt the chances of future women candidates.

She's pretty much been in the public eye since 1991 so unless there is something deep in her closet, not much they can dig up on her that we already know... Also, if she's elected 4 more years of Bill, and I really like Bill.

Whoever wins the repbulican nomination should legally change their name to Benjamin Ghazi imo. Will make this election the greatest event of all time.

She has my vote. I can see this election being a bit easy. It just seems like the GOP has no candidates that have any real popularity. Bush has money but he just lacks what Hillary has. Cruz is a joke and if he wins the nomination id call this a victory already. The GOP is crazy and they look for crazy.

The bonus for Hillary being President is that Bill Gets back into the White house. I can live happily knowing that.

Focusing your campaign on not being the other guy (or girl in this case) is never a winning plan.

The "STOP BUSH" element backfired in 2004. It didn't work for Democrats then, it won't work for Republicans in 2016.

There's just no basis in fact for believing Hilary will lose. The circumstances of the 2000 election are wildly different and there was in fact an economic downturn coinciding with that election.

Yellow and bright pink is right behind yellow and bright green in the designer's book of colours you should never think of putting together on anything unless it's 1991.

Sorry, unrelated to politics I guess.

What other democrat could potentially run? (And likely get a beat down from Clinton)
No big name candidates are running, they don't want to stand in the way and get crushed. Nominal opponets like Martin O'Malley and Bernie Sanders are running but thats it. People like Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden are not running.

Ad is obviously targeted at women who read gossip mags in the grocery store checkout.

Pretty good imitation of the style. :P

If there was some skeleton that came out of Clinton's closet, do you think Warren or Biden would run? I'd vote for Biden just to keep the Obama staff in.

whos likely to get the vp nod?

There is no skeleton left, she has been in the limelight for nearly 25 years across multiple campaigns.

What you are theorizing is basically impossible.

Barring some national emergency or the world economy melting down (Again) I think she's really going to have to try to be able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. And to those who think she's not liberal enough, she's a politician. If you want her to move to the left then push her to the left. Get involved in local politics, try and stack the senate and the house with liberal democrats, get involved in movements you want to see work. If they left keeps waiting for a messiah to change things from the top down it's going to be a long wait. That and the tendency towards rejecting anything sort of their absolute idea, forgetting or ignoring that the perfect is the enemy of the good, are some of the US lefts biggest problems.

whos likely to get the vp nod?

Someone of little consequence from a state that they'd like a bump in.

I'd like them to re-run Joe Biden just for 4 more years of Onion Joe Biden.

Hillary Clinton does have a skeleton.

It's hiding inside her skin.

So I just checked out this facebook page.

William L. is the dude running the page.

The dude is quoting himself

ldfkj aldskjvcla
this is the funniest thing I have seen in ages
the very definition of an echo chamber

Former First Lady President Clinton and the First Man, President Clinton.

I believe it is:

President Clinton and First Gentleman President Clinton.

Although most will use "Madame President" if Hillary were President to keep it clear.

You'd be surprised how much she could actually fuck up and get away with it. The GOP still has a puncher's chance even after they did that insane Iran Letter.

It's pretty funny that they're mimicking the colors of those grocery store gossip magazines. If the GOP platform weren't so blatantly anti-women, they wouldn't need to resort to saying voting for someone based on their sex is bad because reasons.

The level of sexism is going to turn off more moderates then they will gain. I'm not even sure Hillary will be able to lose if she does nothing or everything.

"Hi, I'm Hillary Clinton. You already know who I am. Vote for me. Or don't, whatever. It doesn't matter."

Theres a very good chance the current stock bubble is going to burst.

Going from 7,000 to 18,000 in 5 years is not sustainable.

When do stock bubbles burst?

September/October.

When do elections go into overdrive?

September/October

From 7,000 to 18,000 in
