History of Power Rangers by Linkara

It's probably easier to put whatever pirate scum fuck video files into whatever editing thing rather than capturing footage from Netflix.

I would imagine someone out there ripped the Netflix streams ... He probably just downloaded a torrent of the entire franchise and didn't want to waste bandwidth or something.

Childhood crush

Awesome, I was really wondering when he was going to put out the next episode, I'm strangely addicted to this series even though I stopped watching Power Rangers when I was like 10 (About the end of Zeo if I'm not mistaken)

On another note, has anyone else had problems getting his older HOPR videos to load? I can't seem to get any of SPD or many other seasons to play at all on any site, including ATW4 and TGWTG's. Is this just some problem on my end or is this for everyone?

Heh, oldie thread, missed it the first time around.
If anyone wants to see what the original Sentai was like for these seasons, I found a review of the whole series on Youtube. I'll link to the version that starts with Zyuranger (mmpr) since I assume that's what most are interested in.

Yeah I hear what you're saying. Especially when he talks about them in the In Space review.

Wha??? They started at Zyuranger? They missed the best Supersentai circa 1980-2000, Jetman.

I outgrew Power Rangers when Green Ranger became good and became the White Ranger.
Same. I wish I could be seven and enthusiastically follow the series forever, but alas.

Everyone is different. I thought Power Rangers were stupid when I was a kid, but now that I'm older I love a lot of shows in the genre, including some Power Rangers seasons.

No I mean, why post that you are uninterested? What is the point? It doesn't add anything to the topic.

March is still a long way to go.

The post itself is even offtopic.

It's probably even just a drive-by, since it's quoting an old post.
No, I'm actually genuinely upset that I don't enjoy the series as much as I did back then. I was so, so into it. Watching it was like the highlight of my day. After a certain point, around when I was seven or so, it just stopped clicking with me for some reason and I couldn't enjoy it anymore. I don't know why you're getting so defensive, and the post certainly wasn't off topic.

Edit: I even made this thread a while back.

It felt like it was offtopic because it has nothing to do with HoPR. I couldn't care less if someone doesn't like MMPR or toku in general since it's understandable. I dunno, entering a thread discussing about a series of opinionated videos of a subject and telling them that you don't like the subject just seems weird.

Here's the thread for PR and toku in general. My apologies if I sound rude.

Yeah you guys should really watch it. Brings a lot of good things in PR.

I hope Linkara's review will make people watch it, but sadly the fanbase is stupid that they go "this guy says it's good so therefore it's good" than "this guy says it's good so I think I should check it out".

I sadly missed RPM during it's first run but got the chance to go back and see it. I really enjoyed it for what it was doing and I do consider it one of my favorites. Totally a must watch season.

I made it through the original series until part way through Zeo but never watched the whole series. I think I must have went off the show at that point. It was never as good as MM, with all the changes. Looks like I got out at the right time before Turbo arrived though.

Interesting vids though, looking back at the series. Shame the guys voice is very annoying and he talks too fast, whilst getting annoyed at daft things and having a hard-on for Bulk and Skull.

I didn't really like Jungle Fury; but I suppose it could be attributed to seeing Gekiranger first, so seeing it remade with obnoxious dialogue and presentation and people screaming all the time just made it annoying to me.

He sorta gets better at around Disney era stuff

most of the RPM actors and actresses already have some pedigree in them, already doing theatrical and tv stuff

Ninja Storm is Ninja Storm done right. :D

I've never watched Jungle Fury, though, so maybe I'll watch the first episode tonight and see how it is.
Maybe that was a bit too far.

I just like RJ a lot more than Sensei Hamster and Jarrod and Camille more than Lothar and his idiot daughters.

RPM was cool but the Astronema rehashing was a bit much. I mean I guess a show going so long was going to rehash plot points and for kids it probably looked like the coolest revelation.

I forgot the iZombie girl was a power ranger. And damn Tenaya is hot.
