HITMAN Season Final teaser trailer

Hope the katana is an unlockable you can bring to other stages.

With there being a hotspring... wonder how saucy this level will be?

HItman 2016 has been surprisingly tame on the sex factor, where the last game had bondage nuns and a strip club, and blood money had the porno party.

Hitman so far is my GOTY, which I absolutely did not expect coming in. I was really salty about the whole episodic structure, but imo its worked out absolutely fantastic and each episodic has been really cool with a TON of replay value, and the 4-6 weeks between each one is really great.

Still haven't played the last one though, Colorado, but 100%'d all the previous ones. Elusive targets are also really fun.

season 2, when announced, will be a day one pre order from me.

Was super pumped to pick this up when they released a physical copy with everything included.

Then I heard about all the always online stuff. Why would they do that?!

Game of the Year

Easily game of the year and also the best episodic game ever released. The way they've been releasing the episodes along with escalations and elusives has been masterful.

This level looks incredible. I think the best levels so far are ones where there are two or three areas. That's why I like sapienza so much. I wish Bangkok would have had another area other than the hotel. Marrekesh at least had the school and the embassy.

I wish there was a way for me to get the Platinum.

I bought the intro pack, then Sapienza. Now the upgrade costs more than it's worth. Loving the game, and I'll buy all the packs, but I wish there was a pro-rated upgrade option.

yo... for real? Blood Money is one of my most favourite games ever but I couldn't finish Absolution. Guess I need to get on this asap.

Yeah, there is some stuff that doesn't vibe with me (very few items to bring to a mission, no sniper suitcase, everything is an unlock), but in general it's an amazing return to form.

Its description reminds me of Terminal Hospitality and the Graveyard Shift levels from H2 (because of the hospital and server room). Brilliant!

Blood money had 13 levels, how many levels in this game including the Japan map? Just 6? Doesn't feel right to pay full price for 6 levels.

6 + 2 tutorial missions + 3 bonus missions. The levels are also far bigger than those in Blood Money and are extremely replayable. Not to mention the escalation contracts and elusive targets.

It's more than worth the money.

W2000 rifle is back :-)

Played the beta awhile ago when it was available, but I had a hard getting into it with the ship level or the airplane hangar. However, I've kept this on my radar. Might be getting close to time.

- Two introduction levels: Party Boat and Cuba
- Six very large levels with a ridiculous amount of replayability: Paris, Sapienza, Marrakesh, Bangkok, Colorado and Hokkaido.
- Two bonus episodes set in Sapienza and Marrakesh at night
- Escalations
- Elusive targets

so accusing the game of content drought is a bit unfair

Just realized something:

Doesn't the prologue take place in an unnamed snowy mountainous area? Same location maybe?

I hope they work on the small details and presentation after the final episode. Would be a shame if the final game had the same voice actors for every level, lack of customization, etc.

There is a lot of replay value if you enjoy the levels as There are a good chunk of challenges/check list which unlock items

If you're like me, however, I only enjoyed Sapienza and the other levels felt very similar/worse than Sapienza. Might've been a superficial thing due to the lack of presentation Polish, but they didn't grab me like Sapienza did. I haven't played Colorado yet and have high hopes for Japan. I think they would benefit from having better variety among levels in season 2 a la older games.

During the Hitman EGX panel, they said the ICA facility in the prologue is called "74.3".

Assuming that's referring to the 74th parallel, it should be much further north than Japan.

This game was one of the biggest surprises in gaming to me. Both the quality of the game itself and the fact that these episodic releases were incredibly beneficial to the game. It made me play the levels more and thus helped me appreciate how big and well designed they are.

Also, Elusive Targets are a huge success to me. Hitman is awesome.

Truly words of someone who didn't actually play it.
There are 6 maps, but 9 levels, 3 of those being very modified versions of previous maps.
The quantity of content in each level is far, far larger than any Blood Money levels. Trying to somehow get the value of the game based on level of locations available is frankly disingenious. There's 3 Blood Money levels in content in each HITMAN, and that's just counting the main missions. Put contracts, escalations and elusives there and it becomes even larger.

We discussed this in GAF before.

BM was 11 real missions, you shouldn't count the awful and linear tutorial and the epilogue, that's was like a (cool) playable ending.

As others have said, the 6 episodes are bigger, more complex and more replayable than the BM missions, and then you have 3 other bonus missions, and 2 tutorials (which are more like real missions unlike in BM). 6 +3 +2 =11, same as in BM.

Now add Escalations, Elusive Targets and Contracts...
