If you own the Orange Box on Steam, extract the .mp3s from the game files. Good audio quality and more content than the CD release.

That PC Gamer page does seem to imply that something Valve related is coming next issue - can't see why it would be placed in such a position if not - heck Next Month is even covering part of the image.
Easiest way to see if it definitely is related would be to grab a previous issue and see if the image there always correlates to upcoming content?

You know it kind of would make sense. This fall is the 10 year anniversary of Steam, which was the first game that required Steam to play. What better way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Steam than FINALLLY releasing HL3?

Doesn't look like it. You can buy the soundtrack off of Amazon MP3, though. Or try ebay.Is the CD available at the Valve store or something?
It's a bug. There was supposed to be a new ambient sound, but it got messed up and that screeching ended up there instead.
