Holiday 2013 Bombas (Perfect Storm)

Too early to call on Holiday titles, some might slip, numerous to be announced. There are some PC and WiiU exclusives that are coming, and more importantly there are some indie games which are potentially being sent to die on XBLA etc because people may be hesitant to invest in that platform at this point.
Taken from X360A and PS3T, so may be inaccurate. Sorry.
If you're going to make a thread like this at least put in the effort...

What does holiday typically run from? Oct - Feb?
Either personally or fiscally, what is the definitions?
Probably a different answer for every person. I consider it November and December given that they're the biggest two months of the year for games and retail.

Fuse to bomb for previously discussed reasons.
GRID 2 will probably do OK in Europe, cockpit drama aside. It's releasing into some clear air, and the last racing game of any note was Sega Superstars Transformed.
Remember Me to bomb, I don't see the advertising grunt being applied to it.
Deadpool to also bomb, the character is pretty unknown outside of comic circles and I don't trust Activision letting High Moon to make a good game. I've been predicting Activision will find an excuse to kill High Moon for a while, and this might be it.
Dragon's Crown will probably punch above its weight class, thanks to Kotaku, although I would be surprised if it gets a mention in the NPD.
Saints Row 4 will probably benefit from the impending GTA, since I'd wager it'll get some sales from people wanting to whet their appetite for open worlds.
Disney Infinity to bomb, Skylanders has eaten their lunch.
Bureau to bomb for being too generic.
Blacklist will do OK I guess, although all will depend on how many felt burnt by Conviction.
Rayman Legends to bomb, it's kinda missed its window of opportunity with the delay.
Batman: Arkham Origins, I'm going to predict a bomb here, I'm not entirely convinced by it.
NfS Rivals will also bomb, since the new gen won't save it.

So yeah, large quantities of bomba predicted, ignoring the usual success suspects.

Has a Criterion NfS game ever bombed this gen?

I hope/think the SvM reveal revived some of the lack of hype coming out of E3 2012 as I assume most people will just skip SP out of "well no Ironside and it's probably Conviction 2.0"

Because some people have nowhere else to go if they want that SvM (stealth)action.

Off the top of my head:

GTAV and CoD will sell massive numbers.
TLoU, Beyond, AC and BF4 will sell really well.
Batman, SR4 and Watch Dogs will sell pretty well.
Dragon's Crown will sell poorly but still exceed Atlus' expectations.
Splinter Cell, Deadpool, Fuse, NFS, Remember Me, Disney Infinity, LP3, Rayman, Puppeteer and XCOM Bureau will bomb.

Still plenty of games either not included in the list (GT6, KH, etc.), on other platforms (TW Rome 2, CoH2, Pikmin, Tearaway, etc.) or without a release date yet (South Park, FFX/X-2 HD, etc.) though.

BF will sell tonnes. Much more than TLOU, Beyond, and AC.

beyond two souls? lol that shits gonna bomb hard

artsy fartsy shit launching sandwiched between GTA, Asscreed, BF4 and COD

I have it preordered. Heavy rain sold well (over 2 million).... hell Sony made $60million profit on that game.... so I wouldn't be so sure this one wont. Also keep in mind the PS3 is not going anywhere.... if anything all next gen consoles are going to have a super slow start as 70% of the next gen games are going to be ps3/360/ps4/nextbox.

If this is because it's a different developer, I doubt most of the mainstream is even aware of the change. This game will do fine. The Arkham series is only getting stronger.

heavy rain launched in the spring

this is going against the biggest names in the industry. Next gen isnt a factor, whats launching around it will kill it

That's all well and good. However I'm not interested in GTA/COD/BF4 so I guess I'm the minority.

GTA I always end up being bored shortly after playing.... I feel like I get distracted and get bored.

COD/BF4, tired of strait up shooters.... not a fan of repeating the same thing over and over.

Even Assasin's creed gets pretty tired. Feels like fetch/kill quests for 90% of the time.

I know, I just didn't care enough to give it its very own tier. The only one I did that with is Dragon's Crown and that's because it's the one game on the list that will have really low expectations.

Not enough dudebros, bro?

People said the same shit when Heavy Rain came out. Completely different audience.

It's in the same position as Assassin's Creed. The last sequel was a disappointment and there's no real demand for a sequel. I don't think either AC4 or Batman AO will bomb but I don't think they'll be anywhere near as successful as their predecessors.

Talk for yourself. Arkham City was certainly not a disappointment and I as well as many others want more.

And Splinter Cell..a pattern once again with Ubi games. They seem to crash hard and fast.

Buying an Ubisoft game day 1 is just foolish unless you really, really can't wait. They're pretty much all at least 20 bucks cheaper a month or two later.

Lost Planet and Remember me are $20 on Capcom's site. I heard of Remember Me, but LP3 slipped under the radar.
