Because you could have a different answer for each one.
Army of Two: The 40th Day
Assassin's Creed Bloodlines
Fat Princess: Fistful Of Cake
Gran Turismo portable
Invizimals
Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier
LittleBigPlanet PSP
Lunar: Silver Star Harmony
Motorstorm: Arctic Edge
Need For Speed: Shift
Persona: Revelations
PixelJunk Monsters
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Alot of new games, or exclusive versions of existing games. Not a bad lineup for a system that "has no games"
Probably getting shift instead of forza for my racing fix. Racing looks so much more intense and challenging plus it has the best cockpit view ive seen. I wanna get U2 and MW2 but it depends how much money i have left.
Hey, dudez with the listz...did you miss the topic title that only talked of a showdown between the PS3 and X360?

PS3 has more variety, while 360 is, once again, the shooter box. Oh, and Forza 3. They both have quality titles but I'll admit, PS3's lineup looks a little better.
Did I miss something about PS3 not being as much of a shooter box as X360? In fact, I'd say that if you're looking at all things exclusive between the two platforms, PS3 is more shooter-y and has been for a while. Indie Games, Arcade, retail releases...X360 is far more diverse and offers more of any given game type versus PS3.
There's probably two games being released each month that I intend to buy for 360. It's going to be expensive. Looking at the PS3's release schedule, I'm sure there will be a few people on that 'side' who feel the same way.
I don't think Demon's Souls is going to be a hit at all. I have the Asian version - it's an interesting game but it's hardly for everybody... so yeah, I have to contend with it's inclusion on the list.
Same goes for L4D2 (for the aforementioned reason that it's not exclusive).

2 Halo 3 ODST
1 Uncharted 2
1 GTA:Episodes
1 Forza 3
1 Left 4 Dead 2
Pretty much what I'm looking to buy exclusive wise this holiday season. Outside of that I'm only looking at Dragon Age and Modern Warfare 2. Should be a fun holiday season.
On a side note I still would have preferred Splinter Cell Conviction in the holiday window, but I'm a patient person so give it all the polish ya got Ubi.
On another side note I got the first R&C on the PS3 and had a good time with it, but I'm not sure I'm willing put another $60 down for this one.

I have Ninja Gaiden II on Xbox 360 already, so "Sigma" is barely a console exclusive. I do not believe that should count.
360 has the game I'm most anticipating based on experience with the franchise (Left 4 Dead 2) but PS3 has the game that has me more intrigued from a new IP standpoint (Demon's Souls).
I have to finish Uncharted 1 to really get into the hype, as so far it's good but not anything I'm going to super anticipate a sequel for.
I like Halo, but I'm not a megafan like some, and ODST hasn't really impressed me with what has been shown. Still, I will be buying that.
GTA: Gay Tony is gonna be SOOO FUCKING RAD. I want Ratchet for PS3, and I am going to get it, but again I still have to get through the first Ratchet PS3 and Quest For Booty.
360 definitely has more of what I'm interested in, so I think 360 wins.
Well for one I'm of the position that it all matters. Sales, Reviews, GAF opinion, etc. But yes. Sales do matter as it reflects what actual people think of the games. And is arguably more concrete than one subjective opinion.
The 360 has like three expansions being sold as full games (Halo, L4D and GTA) and FM3. The 360 might move more discs, but that's just the hive mentality moving from one MP game to the next (Halo 3 -> ODST, L4D -> L4D2). The PS3 has more genres and appeal IMO.
Uncharted 2
Ratchet and Clank: CiT
Eye Pet
Demon's Soul
God of War Collection
GT5 (maybe)
I'll be getting U2, R&C, GoWC and GTA DLC for sure.

I'm trying to sort out the cognitive dissonance between criticizing odst and lf2d (and even gay tony) as "expansions", then touting GOWC as something other than "hive mentality". Really?

L4D is not an official expansion (I agree that it's one on the principle though, still buying it day 1 for PC). GTA Episodes from LC are not being sold at full price (at least not here in Europe, pre-ordered it for 35)
And I really don't see how GOW 1&2 (PS2 games) and Eye Pet (lol ?) are more appealing lol. And Forza 3 IS coming in October. And honestly I think that it's going to be at least as good as GT5 if not better.

Maybe you should stop asking idiotic questions to people. I don't think you saw a factual error there at all in his post, and it seemed clear you were the one who caught feelings that he didn't prefer the Xbox's holiday line-up.
I'm probably more excited for games on PS3, but if I was comparing it game to game, I'd say I'm most excited for Uncharted 2, then Ballad of Gay Tony. If we were including Wii, I'd say New Super Mario Bros would be up there too (but that's the only other Wii game I'm getting this year, sadly). If you step back and consider just console exclusives like Way of the Samurai 3 or Brutal Legend, chances are I get them on 360. Step back even more, and I'm getting the majority of games on PC. It's all pretty irrelevant for me.
DS and PSP have great line ups, too. PSP is the most surprising. Even just ignoring all the new retail games, PSP Minis is also launching with, IIRC, 50 games at launch.
I should mention that even though I say PS3 is the best, truth is, only a handful games games I'll be getting for it. I'm not getting Sigma 2 or Demon's Soul (already own the import), not sure about GoW Collection, and others people mention I'll probably pass on. I just recently got excited for Ratchet. Even less on 360, so yeah.
edit: and wow, people really stopped being subtle when it came to calling people out.

Sony has got to have GT5 for this year. I think they have to have something for November or December. They have nothing...
Other than Eyepet, you could count them pushing Assassin's Creed 2 because of the exclusive stuff from connecting with the PSP version. Ok, not really.
I couldn't possibly care less about Halo and Gay Tony. Not really sure if I'll be purchasing Forza, NG 2 or Demons Soul. Uncharted and Ratchet are by far the titles I want to play most from the list so I guess I'll go with the PS3.
Whether or not it is an exclusive or not really doesn't have anything to do with it being a hit or not, which is what you stated. Left 4 Dead was hit on both the PC and 360. And you just changed what you said in the matter of time I quoted you.

Why'd you delete what was in the parentheses? :lol
That's the reason I contend with it's inclusion on the list: it's not an exclusive. I wasn't implying it wasn't a hit - I play the game on the PC. I know it is. :lol
It's exclusive in the fact you are not going to be playing it on another console. It's pretty simply really when you think about. Can someone go out and play it on the PC as well, yes. Does that make it not exclusive between console gamers, no, which as it were would help for people decide which of these two consoles has the better line-up for the holidays. The title says PS3 and 360 for a reason if you are a console gamer and want to play L4D2 you only have one option to do such, which will only help MS's November line-up. Time and time again we have seen that PC/360 only games help MS's line-up. I see this as the same and in some cases even help to drive sales ala Bioshock. This not exclusive stuff I simply do not buy.

I don't know, man. After seeing the storefront and community features of FM3 and the hoppers (a racing first, I think) I think Forza is the game to beat, no matter what else comes out, sheer quality wise.
Uncharted 2 is pretty much the only exclusive I'm getting this holiday. Which is great because it'll give me time to catch up on PS3 exclusives Ive missed. I'll get Ratchet next years along with GOWIII.
I might get GOW: Collection too but I dunno.
THinking about it, I only plan on Buying 3 games this holiday season(that came out during the Holday season).
CODMW2, Borderlands and Uncharted 2.
Next year is going to be EXTREMELY awful unless the second half of 2010 is barren and has no games.
Why'd you delete what was in the parentheses? :lol

Both look extremely weak to be honest. I'll be playing MW2 and L4D2 on PC at some point. for those two consoles I would say it comes down to simply ODST vrs Uncharted.
didnt play the first uncharted and while it did develop a fanbase, wasnt it met with pretty tepid critical acclaim? seems like ppl mostly liked the visuals.
the pc is set with its exclusives and superior multiplatform games.
The lineup of the other 3 platforms seems more interesting....
PSP: AC:bloodlines, rock band unplugged, LBP psp, GTA portable, MGS P, motorstorm, J&D, dissidia
DS: LoZ:SP, scribblenauts, M&L3 , layton2
Wii: muramasa, spyborgs, WF+, rabbids go home, ShawnWS 2, Sky crawlers, NSMBWii, DS extraction, RE: DC, Taksunoko vs Capcom, MP trilogy, a boy and his blob
in terms of exclusives I would say PSP>>>>DS>Wii>360>PS3
Edit: NG2sigma is just NG2???? make that 360>Ps3 it is just odst vs Uncharted2
SH:SM coming to psp too. not wii exclusive. TMNT coming to PS2. not wii exclusive.
wii rank falls below DS.
PSP has a killer lineup this fall...
but this is gaf....

Thinking....thinking....nope, drawing a blank. I can only think of two home consoles with games coming out for the holidays. What are you referring to?
I'm sure New Super Mario will be good, but nothing else there.
I don't know, I'm pretty much set every week until November.
Beatles Rock Band
Marvel 2
Halo ODST
Brutal Legend
Borderlands
Forza 3
LEGO Rock Band
Left 4 Dead 2
Dragon Age
Grand Theft Auto IV The Ballad Of Gay Tony
I think it's a good year for both platforms. As I only have a PS3, I'll be picking up Uncharted 2 and Ratchet and Clank, because I already own imported copies of Demon's Souls and Afrika. I'll also be picking up the remastered God of War disc. If Gran Turismo 5 drops this year, I'll pick it up as well.

edit: ridiculous how much Drake's constant commentary adds to that sequence. I remember wishing that the guy from Shadow Complex would've commented on the shit happening more often during gameplay.
So when you said "The PS3 is my main gaming platform, this means basically I won't be able to give Valve my money", you didn't actually mean that you refuse to buy non-Halo Xbox games that don't get PS3 ports, and you were making a fuss about a game that never would have gotten your money anyway. :lol
FYI, I'm including your original post before your stealth edit. Go back and find out what you actually said? :lol
