L4D2 is a Microsoft exclusive since the game will only run on Microsoft software... unless there is a Mac version I don't know about.

Nothing seems to be interesting this fall that are exclusive for 360: Not interested in any FPS, sequels to bad games and hate Sims. Everything I wanted has been pushed to next year for the system. God, the 360 makes me mad sometimes. At least I will be buying Batman to keep the system warm during winter.

ODST and Forza 3 will be fun to play at my friend's house, but I am still on the fence about getting a 360 mainly for Fable 2 and Shadow Complex. Maybe I'll borrow one from a friend!

Before, the whole "pay more get more" didn't really translate. But 299 for a game system with integrated wifi, big hdd, bluray player, wireless and rechargeable controls, and a host of other stuff "should" push it over the edge.

The really good games are also FINALLY coming out. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the general crowd out there is still wary of the playstation name after Sony dragged it through the mud this gen. Although I have all three systems already, I admit that the PS releases coming out are more intriguing than the 360 releases and much better than the Wii releases on the horizon...

Sony didn't drag it through the mud, the media did. They made a calculated decision to go with the blu-ray/cell and suffer the early year expensive console. Just that most people can't think much than what they see right in front of them at any given moment. The grasp of a plan based on years doesn't compute in their minds.

The only shitty thing they did was the infamous press conference showing off pre-rendered footage and claiming it was real time.

And if GT5 comes this christmas... come on, you can't believe based on their track record that Forza 3 is going to be the better game. But everyone is allowed their own opinion of course.

And counting the expansion Gay Tony as a game then not counting God of War 1 and 2 (properly rendered in 720p and 60fps with trophies) is a bit biased.

ODST is going to sell on the Halo brand only, not even the media is particularly excited about it.

L4D2 is a Microsoft exclusive since the game will only run on Microsoft software... unless there is a Mac version I don't know about.

I'm aware it's exclusive to both the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. The thread title and OP specifically states "big exclusives each system holder is going to be touting", in reference to both the PS3 and 360 (look at the thread title). Not Windows. Not Mac.
If there were a Mac version of Demon's Souls, I'd say it doesn't belong on the list for that reason, as well.

The 360 has like three expansions being sold as full games (Halo, L4D and GTA) and FM3. The 360 might move more discs, but that's just the hive mentality moving from one MP game to the next (Halo 3 -> ODST, L4D -> L4D2). The PS3 has more genres and appeal IMO.

For me, going to pick up Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2, and probably the GOW Collection. I was never into the Halo series and after the main GTA4 story, I don't really care about the extra episodes...

Looks good for the PS3, especially with FFXIII coming out in Japan. Hopefully they'll market Uncharted 2 and Demon Souls a bit, but I doubt it.

Overall though, I'd say Forza 3 will be the best experience on either console this holiday. Turn10 are doing some amazing work.

I also echo the PSP praise, already sank 15 hours into Dissidia, picking up Soul Calibur tomorrow and there's Persona later this month as well as a handful of must haves over the holiday period. 2010 looks even better with Kingdom Hearts, 3rd Birthday, Peace Walker, Persona 3 etc They've really turned a corner for support - the lineup is stronger than ever.
Plus there's a load of DS games on my wanted list

PS3 wins for me because I really enjoy the Uncharted franchise. I'm hoping with a strong marketing push and the inclusion of both MP (pretty awesome in the beta stage) and co-op, that the game will garner the kind of sales it deserves.

Jesus christ at some of you. As hardcore gaming fans, you should be glad that most, if not all, consoles, have worthwhile stuff coming up. People shouldn't really care too much about which console 'wins', just pick the games you have GENUINE INTEREST in, and be glad that there most likely will be a lot of stuff to pick from. I only have a PS3, but I can already see myself spend too much money on these 'exclusive' games:

¤ Demon's Souls (probably the game I'm most hyped for alongside UC2)
