Holy Balls. The first two Alien movies are amazing.

Fucking LOL @ Alien Resurrection looking better than Alien.

Goddamn juniors just never seem to live that junior stigma down.

Whoopty fucking doo. you joined a message board before me, so that automatically makes your opinion more valid than mine? and I assume with the juvenile dissing, any sensible discussion with you goes out the window.

if you were a grown-up, we would've agreed to disagree, but that's not the case, junior.

you're on ignore now, so I don't have to deal with your childish posts anymore.

reading comprehension? where did I ever mention dialog or story in my post? think before posting next time.

Stand down soldier. No need to get so defensive, unless of course you had a hand in making Resurrection. Your replies are almost as childish as those you are ranting against.

You're probably doing a disservice to yourself by ignoring Sculli. Sure, he may be a lunatic James Cameron fanboy, but the guy is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to movies, especially when concerning the Alien series.

As far as Resurrection is concerned, I would have to disagree. It looks too polished for my taste, and doesn't really carry the gritty look the other three films had. I'm sure it is a style choice made by the director, but it doesn't work for me. The fact that the movie is pretty bad might slant my view, but it is what it is.

The release of the movies would be my order of look, though sometimes I flipflop between Aliens and Alien 3. I would have said Alien 3 over Aliens, but that was before the Aliens blu-ray. That shitty film stock.......

I bought Alien and Aliens on blu-ray a few months ago, in advance of seeing Prometheus on the big screen (each was 8 bucks and had a voucher for a free ticket, so it was a no-brainer).

They were good movies, but I still found them rather overrated. Perhaps I was just bitten by the hype bug and had overly high expectations.

Anyway, they were definitely better than Prometheus, lol
