Fun game, but I feel like the controls are kind of laggy/unresponsive on PS4. Had a few situations where I swear I hit the d-pad timely enough and it didn't register. Can't snake weave too well. Wireless delay maybe?

I have never played Chu Chu Rocket but from the videos Pix the Cat looks like an evolution of Snake.

There's local multiplayer?

yes up to 4 controllers and multiple arenas from simple bomberman style to very tricky with warps and mini areas.

you start just shooting and dashing while picking up eggs but there are eggs that give you mines, and eggs that are an awesome missile.

You must judge whether to drag a lot or a little ammunition (eggs) the more you drag the slower you go but the more anmo you have including dash charges.

when there is a close call it goes into zoom and sort of slo mo.

at the end of best of 3 rounds the winnerand losers get quite accurate badges like hari kiri or button masher that my kids delighted in reading.

its all really fast paced and super fun.

btw the concept art has the cat drawn like a gruffalo ..

EDIT: There's gotta be a trick with that room where there's like 40 eggs at the lower half of the screen. But I end up having so many ducks that I end up running into my tail and blowing up all the ducks. =( I think if I can't figure out how to deal with those eggs in the best way I won't get to the 800k or more.

For now, I think you should just not go for the perfect in that section, which is what I did until I figured out a pattern that gets you ever egg and then gets you out. But it requires like several sharp turns so its easy to screw up. It's better than not getting all those points.

There is always a way to get a perfect in every stage, but sometimes it takes planning. Early on in Main, there's a section which seems like you can't perfect it, but you can if you a few seconds and avoid the eggs to get the right positioning before collecting them. And although you probably already know this, there's a few where you have to go into a section, grab the eggs, back out into the last stage, and go in the other entrance because the "drop off" sections are in the way otherwise.

I don't think I can score 2 million without having an exact plan in every stage.

This is exactly how I'd describe it. They gave the PacMan CE DX treatment to Snake, and painted it with a Chu Chu Rocket aesthetic. And it's awesome.
