How much do you think they've put into home exactly?

That's what they've essentially been doing, though. If they didn't talk about Home at all, 1) there'll be absolutely no interest at all, and 2) people would assume it's a dead project.drakesfortune said:I'm sick of hearing that it's coming in a couple months only to have it pushed back again and again. Really they should just shut up about it until it's ready for everyone to use.

I dont see how they would kill it. From personal experience in dealing with Sony, Home is hugely important to them, so that would definitely be odd.DCharlie said:it's ABSOLUTELY DEFINITELY coming by the end of this year was the last that was said on this right?
If this drags on much longer i can see it getting a bullet in the head.
Make sure you use it on the account that got the beta and not on another account.JB1981 said:I'm in teh beta now and not one time - one fucking time - have i been able to log in.
I only have one account. Everytime I try to connect it just says try later or restart your console or whatever. It just never ever works.Metalmurphy said:Make sure you use it on the account that got the beta and not on another account.
It's working fine here, and far from dead btw... I count at least 50+ ppl in the main space, and around 20 on the game space.
EU, US or JP beta?JB1981 said:I only have one account. Everytime I try to connect it just says try later or restart your console or whatever. It just never ever works.

It was actually GDC 2007shagg_187 said:LBP and Home were shown together and LBP looked miles away from Home yet LBP is already here and even though Home is here, it really isn't. My interest @ Home is 0.5%, that's only because devs have shown little interest. Will increase/decrease depending on what they offer.
That's what people said for some online only games such as SOCOM, and it had some issues early on (thankfully they are being solved). With the way things have been in certain online games, I hope Sony gets the network issues ironed out (where I'll be able to get on Home any time without issue) then release it as is, buggy (where it will be a headache to get on).sykoex said:I don't understand why they don't just open it up to everyone now and just continually patch and improve it. It's way too late now for it to have the impact Sony wanted it to have.
Considering the mega update is yet to hit heh.Firewire said:I was just in it and I'm surprised at how many people are in it.
Because Home itself will be your destination.OldJadedGamer said:I'm still waiting to see *why* I need to go into home rather then just launch my game directly and invite my friends in to play there.
Looks like it. 20 the closed BETA and 28 the open one... or some date like that.Insane Metal said:So, I heard the release date is Nov. 28!![]()
The original Resistance clan always chats before playing, soon we can do it in Home, using special areas like Warhawks war room to discuss strategy then launch into the game all together, in the same in game lobby.OldJadedGamer said:They should have waited to announce it at this years GDC. LBP could have stood on it's own. I think that people are just going to download it, create a new avatar, living space, walk around a bit, check some stuff out then never go back to it.

OldJadedGamer said:So why not go into the Resistance lobby in the actual game to chat before playing? When my friends and I are playing in LBP, we just go to one of ours pod in the game and chat about what level we are going to play.
I still don't see the point here why you need to go to home first. Why do you HAVE to use home to do this and not do it in game. Don't all multiplayer games (good ones at least) have a party system lobby that lets everyone chat before hand? I've never run into an issue where I couldn't do that in game.

Sure did. And it's pretty much the same thing, only better.kylej said:Damn thought this was bumped because it was out. That party system looked pretty cool 2 years ago.
Good thing Microsoft implemented it in their dashboard out in 2 days.

Way longer then it should.AndyD said:A question for those with Home, how long does it take from hitting HOme on the XMB to being in your apartment? or in Home wherever you appear? 30 seconds? 1,2,5 minutes?
