HOUSE, M.D. "No Reason" -- SEASON FINALE!

I think my dvr cut off the very last part of the episode. The last thing I saw was House asking the doctors to tell Cuddy to give him ketemine (sp?). Was that the last thing that happened? If not, what did I miss.

Also, Cameron is sofa king hot and that scene with House robo-undressing her gave me chub.

You saw the ending. House was asking them to induce coma, I believe.

Edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ketamine

Apparently, Katamine is an anaesthetic that also is a hallucinogenic. Used by vets, but not often on humans, since it does have schizophrenic-like side effects. Maybe House wanted to go back into that crazy state he was in? :)

So what ahppened to the fat guy? House began the diagnosis before he was shot, so the guy was real (Though maybe not involving body parts popping).

Well, in the dream, he didn't get Katamine, and it ended up with him losing his mind in the dream, but gaining use of his leg. So maybe he's afraid of that actually happening. But that whole thing wasn't real... I don't know what to think.

No, in the dream he did get Ketamine. That's how he figured out what they did to him, he noticed in his file that he was given Ketamine. He confronted Cuddy about it. They said it several times. I'm not sure how anyone could miss it.

Yea, I know. You'd have to be a complete fucking idiot to miss that.

Fuck.

Awww man. :(

No wonder she only wants a sperm donor and likes Wilson "as a friend."

That is one smokin' ass, though.

Still, I liked this episode. It was really good. The ending seemed weird at first (as pointed out, almost Dallas-like), but this wasn't seem cheap ploy or gimmick. The whole episode was about House's self-examination. Also, the Ketamine treatment may be one of those strokes of genius that you can only come up with in a self-reflexive state like that. In other words, House basically conjured this treatment up in his mind and now it seems like he might want to try it out on himself in the real world. I guess we'll see the results.

Seriously, as lame a cop-out a Hallucination episode is, it's awesome that he managed to come up with a treatment for himself and give it to the docs as he is being rushed down the hall.

And this just makes the episode just that more interesting!! I didn't even think of it before! Remember when Cuddy told House that "it worked", that an experiment performed by doctors in Germany showed that Ketamine could somehow cure the pain in his leg, but had some side effects? Well, when you think about it, this was something that House must have known all along, otherwise he wouldnt have brought it up at all in his hallucinations. I'm guessing the reason why he didn't want to go through with it was because he was afraid of losing his mind in the fashion that we saw in this show.

I'm thinking that House asking to be administered Ketamine is his way of saying that now he is willing to take a chance. I'm no medical expert, but would there be any logical reason to use Ketamine on a patient with a gunshot wound? If not, then why else would he want it used on him? Wow, I gotta watch this episode again. When you realize that the whole thing was being played out in his mind (esstianlly, the world as he sees it), it really opens up on how telling it was.

Edit: Beaten :(

Bah, the fact that all of it was a dream isn't a cop-out at all, because it didn't suddely happen and reset an existing plot as in shows like Dallas, but rather was the resolution of the plot itself.(In other words, if you were disappointed by the ending, you didn't get the episode) House, a highly empirical man, is thrust into a situation where he's losing the capacity to know if anything he perceives is real. It's also a follow-up of the Three Stories episode, and provides a lot more introspection into House's character.

It's a cop-out in the sense of the actual episode. I was kinda hoping there was really some disease that causes body parts to randomly explode.

that he asked for ketamine in the end was a real breakthrough for him.. cant wait to see where next season goes

That was all a backdrop, sorry, the point of which being that it didn't make sense. The actual episode was all House. :P

BTW... watch Black Adder seasons 2-4 while you're waiting for the new House season ;b

Hugh Laurie has a range!

Great episode. Man, House is such a good show. I missed the first half of this season, so I'm glad they'll be showing reruns throughout the summer.

Wow, what a crazy episode! Awesome.

First of all, how weird was it to see Detective Stabler from SVU? He looked like a child molester with his long hair which is ironic. He should definitely keep his head shaved.

I was talking about the show with a friend and mentioned about when Eric Foreman was sick. They asked what did that have to do with That 70's Show? :lol

That wasn't Detective Stabler. That was Casey Jones.

Hate to bust your bubble guys, but that's not Casey Jones. Thats Elias Koteas. Who the fuck that is, I have no clue, but that's what I'm getting from the casting for the episode on TV.com.

Two things:
Casey Jones was a character played by Elias Koteas.
Your link contradicts you, open his bio. ;)

EDIT: *reading imdb* Wow, he was Vincent's brother in Gattaca.

...........

Owned. :/

Edit: But seriously, I haven't seen Ninja Turtles since wtf. How do you guys remember these things?!?!?!?!?

LOL! I totally forgot he was Casey Jones! My sister said he was in TMNT, but it didn't click then. Awesome!

I also recognized him as the dad in Gattaca.

The best part of the episode was when House was discussing the sexual market theory with swollen tongue boy's wife. That and when House was molesting Cameron with the robot.

Yes it was- he's saying he would rather have a healthy leg than a healthy mind.

They're two different actors, dude!

:lol :lol :lol

I always remember him (Koteas) as the guy from "Thin Red Line" (a quite trippy movie) or "The Prophecy" (a decent enough movie with some horrible sequals). It just depends.

I really enjoyed this episode, but with the reality-bending scenes I felt I was watching an episode of Star Trek. That's not a criticism, just an observation.

It was also a bloodbath, that poor guy with the exploding body parts!

I'll have to watch it again to make sure I caught everything.
