I live near the coast in Brazoria county and we haven't gotten much rain at all. Probably under 1 inch. Crazy that we've missed the storm while 50 miles north Houston was hammered.

This was around 7am. It was hailing last night hence the towels, lol.

Stay safe friends.

I actually made it in to work, and we're not doing anything. My other coworkers made it in but they have trucks and so they can maneuver some high water while my little sedan might get stuck.

I hope I'll be able to go home tonight since our Main Street here is prone to flooding.

Near the Medical Center reporting in, rain has mostly stopped and no major flooding around me. No work today, no food in the house, about to risk a trip to Krogers and/or Whataburger. Wish me luck~

College Station here. We are getting pounded but flooding seems to be relegated to a few "gathering areas". B/CST is kind of on a hill so the water generally just runs towards the Brazos.

Stay safe Houston GAF.

Sugar Land area here, thankfully my apartment isn't flooded and it seems ok so far. I'm scheduled to go to work at noon, but I don't know if I want to risk that mess. I've talked to a lot of my coworkers and they're all stuck on the roads. =/

Man you guys got it bad up there. We got some rain here in SA but it wasn't much compared to what they forecasted. At least. You guys missed out on the baseball sized hail that we got. It really fucked up a lot things down here.

our builder went out to our property, no idea why, in Manvel and it didn't look too bad.

we currently live in sugarland and our street keeps getting close to flooding, then draining really quickly once it stops raining.

Manvel is getting hit hard right now, but was spared most of last night. unlike most of houston. The rain has gone as far south as Angleton but Lake Jackson/Clute/Freeport are still untouched by the rain

It's days like this I'm glad I bought a truck. Not too bad on the east side but we're shutting down early so we don't risk getting stuck up here when more rain comes.

Ive been stuck in austin because its too shitty to drive back to gouston. It was raining sideways here in atx yesterday, and just before I left this morning I heard houston is flooded.

Being stuck in atx isnt the worst thing ever, though, and I have my vr kit here.

Pretty calm right now, apartment pulled up the flooding gates temporarily. That said, it looks like we'll get another strong shot around noon so it might get dicey out there.

Just one pic of the action in the house. The couches are on crates...... Only good thing is the couches were old and need of replacing, but the carpet was brand new there. And the rest of the downstairs is all hardwood which was ruined, I haven't gone back into the kitchen lately to see how the cabinets/appliances fared, I know the washing machine and dryer are ruined since they were a bit lower. All I am hearing is gurgling noises right now.

I did save the dehumidifier which will come in quite handy as seen in the pic, lol.

Goddamn that's terrible, I'm so sorry for you ! :(
Better watch out with those electrical outlets there, they're awfully close to the water..

I live in harris county. I am so grateful that my area of harris is likely to not be flooded.

I thought that too, Kingwood area but then I just saw this:

KHOU Tiffany Craig ✔ ‎@TiffanyKHOU
Drivers in and around #Kingwood, use Kingwood Drive. Northpark is CLOSED near 59. #khou11 #houwx #KHOUweather

Well, I have a lot of bottled water and food that doesn't need to be heated. I'm not going back to college until this is over, I think the professors will understand.

Yo I almost got in a car wreck last night. I had to stop in the middle of the road as my car started to sink and waves of water were pouring down from the left, right and in front of me. Couldn't see shit. Can't believe I didn't wipe out or that no cars hit me as there were people behind me and next to me. Scary shit.

Work is closed today. Live in Katy and everything is fine for the most part as far as power and everything.

I grew up in that area, called my mom she said they've barely had but scattered showers here and there. They got lucky

West Harris county reporting in. So far so good. Got power, internet, subdivision roads clear. Getting out of the subdivision would prove challenging, fortunately I'm off today and have nowhere I gotta be. Unless we have another foot of rain in store before we have a chance to drain, I should remain alight.

Man, I can't remember there being this much flooding and hail in a span of year ever.

I was at the local mountain/hiking trails yesterday, and now it's like 10 feet under water.

This section of trail is one my favorite parts and it's almost completely under water

Work at Katy Mills Mall? It's closed! Yay!

Now I don't have to feel bad about not going to work. Though I've been told that I shouldn't have felt bad anyway.

Almost flooded out my car getting home at 6am this morning. Seriously was driving on some curbs. I haven't seen rain like this since Allison

One death at Greenspoint but...

Unkown if flood related!

Such is the Gunspoint area!

They probably should let people in that area know that Greenspoint mall is a shelter area. The reporter on KHOU keeps saying he doesnt know where they are going...

Luckily I was off today...but damn. This happens once a year or so...isnt there something that could be done infrastructure wise? Honestly not sure.

Memorial/Shepard/Kirby is underwater thanks to bayou flooding

Saw a reporter next to an Omni hotel. Parking lot, and bayou was all under water. They hotel staff claimed the water was up to the 2nd floor. Maybe they're including garages.

People are giving our local streets flood names. Meyerland is now called Meyerlake

Nassau Bay here. Flooding isn't too bad, but the apartment we moved into in October is at the lowest lying point in the complex, so we got water this morning. Nowhere near disastrous, but enough to stress me out. We moved on Halloween, during the previous major flood event, through six inches of standing water and leaks from the foundation. So yeah, we're looking at moving AGAIN. This time I'm just gonna pay someone to do it for us, as I damn near killed myself last move.

Luckily, I haven't lost anything, nor is my situation as serious as many people are facing right now. Just not something I figured I'd have to deal with multiple times in six months.

Sad shit.. Somebody in my area just posted this:
Flooded again. Any recommendations for home/apartment

We flooded again and this time we are likely to not stay in the house during the remediation/rebuild.
Any recommendation on apartment or home rentals on a monthly basis?

Wild, wild stuff.
