How do you handle rumours?

Well... I really hoped you learned the lessons of not lifting animals up by their legs.

In the subject of the 'rumor' I mean it's kinda hard to do anything. She probably won't stop, even if you confront her. If someone asks you point blank you can tell them the truth... though to be honest I don't know how much it'll really help.

I definitely learned my lesson. I just didn't know any better. I know it seems like common sense, but I apparently don't have a lot of that.

I do this to my dog when playing, I don't lift him complete off the ground but when he lays on his back I grab both his front legs, lift him forward and put him right side up. He's a very young and sturdy dog (pitbull/boxer mix) but after reading how OP killed a dog I'll probably won't be doing this anymore.

Some of the earliest memories of my dad is of him swing me around in circles by my legs and arms. He would also grab me by my head and lift me up as high as possible.
 
Op did you at any time mention picking up dogs by their legs when asking coworkers for sex at conventions? We may not be able to bring this dog back, but at least we might solve the last one.

My roommate was leaving his dog in a cage days at a time and not feeding him. I've seen him punch the dog on more than one occasion as well. I don't understand what the point is you're trying to make.

I never asked for sex at a convention. I asked to mess around on fetlife. They attend the convention. None of that stuff actually happened at the convention, the misinformation needs to stop.

This is a very, very good point really.
 
Usually when I have a spare hour to chill and enjoy it, maybe through a nice set of cans. I used to skip Christine's songs (especially since The Chain is between two of them) but I really love them now.
 
There's not much you can do about shit like that. You can ask her to stop, or you can tell your side of the story to whoever brings it up. That person might then tell your side of the story to other people. After that it's up to the people who hear these things to come to their own conclusions. For example.....

Person A: "I heard tearsofash kills dogs. What a psycho."

Person B: "Nah, I heard it was a stupid accident. He picked up an old dog by it's leg and broke it. They had to put it down. He feels really bad about it."

Then people might be like "wtf who picks up dogs by their legs?" and think you're a dumbass, but that's better than people thinking you're a psycho who kills dogs for fun or whatever.

Usually it takes until the third page for the OP to admit (the equivalent of) "Yeah, it's true, I did kill a dog" not post #9. I was not expecting this when I clicked on this thread.
 
So this thread is obviously not about dealing with rumors and more dealing with shitty things done in the past.

Just ignore it or tell people how sorry you were.


And really, you should never ever EVER touch another animal until you know how to handle it. Like ask the owners specific questions every damn time from now until the end of time.

Also the OP should really check what the definition of the word rumor is. Your ex isn't spreading rumors if its something you did. When it comes up explain what happened and those people can form their own opinion of the situation and you
