How do You overcome laziness?

See Dr, get a blood test and look at Vit D, B and Iron levels in particular.

Could also be depression; chronic low mood, lack of motivation and hypersomnia are definitely indicators of depression, but best to get physically checked out too.

Im kind of the same boat, I can easily sleep 12-14hrs if I have nothing on and I know depression and anxiety are a big part of it for me. The only thing that keeps me motivated is getting out on my mountain bike, I love it when Im out; if Im not out riding Im much the same as yourself.

Depression. Don't take drugs, I had nearly gained 60lbs from SSRIs. Stop any drugs or alcohol, walk 5km per day, cook your meals, do some hiking.

Try to get some close friends.

I'm in the same boat. It's depression. I'm too lazy to even play games that i know i enjoy.

So i'm forcing myself to do things and eventually i start enjoying them until i finish what i'm doing and become lazy again.

You just need to force the jump-start, that's the difficult part. Once the engine starts though the mood will come.

Lots of people are on the right track with live and eat healthy.

But im gonna throw in another big one

Put the phone down. Lock it away and do what you have to. Social media addiction is rough and people dont know they have it.

Limit your phone usage to purely important messages from friends and family then just put it down and to do other things.

From my experience and an observation of those around me who are go getters vs those who are lazy bums is that the lazy cohort tend to lack fear and long-term thinking, until something horrible happens to them or they find themselves in a rut.

Think about what would happen if you end up staying unemployed for a long time.

Or stuck in a job you hate or that's going nowhere for years instead of trying to pursue your passions or push yourself.

Or in bad health, or overweight, poor stamina and eating shit constantly instead of working out, walking, learning to cook and controlling your impulsive behaviours.

Or drinking, smoking, doing drugs and not confronting your problems with it or alcoholism and embracing better habits.

Or neglecting family and friends or confronting or not making an effort instead of building a strong community around you.

Over time all of that can destroy your life, put you in poor health and push people away that want to avoid you and you end up alone and poor.

Fear and anxiety can be motivating factors if you embrace them. The alternative of hiding under a blanket until the late afternoon is far worse.
