Good luck playing games like Last of Us, GTAV, Beyond 2 Souls, FFXV and MGSV on your PC
Have fun paying 300 for a newer graphics card and maybe a better processor every year or two
Have fun sitting on your cough w/ a keyboard and mouse on your lap
Have fun keeping your PC in your room and connecting it to a living room TV
the price you pay for a console = convenience, comfort and better games
You dont really need to upgrade your PC as often as you are saying. The longer I wait, the more difficulty games have with running smoothly or on higher settings, but the same thing is on the consoles. The progression nowadays is a bit slower.
And you also can just connect a controller to your PC if you want to go the TV route. The living room thing might be a problem, but I suppose you also have that with consoles if you want to go play those in the room. Sure you can move it, but it is not that easy. You could do the same thing with a PC and I am sure there are other solutions.
And for all the people here saying that for the exclusives you want to go consoles, you are ignoring that the PC has plenty of exclusives. Sure, there are not many exclusive titles with a big budget, but there are probably a larger number of exclusive titles on the PC, many of which are more fun imo.
Lol and what has he put out this gen of worth besides Portal 2? I love the way people think the sun shines out of Gabens arse.
...wut.
I get people saying Valves (game) output is not on par, and even though I disagree it is absolute bollocks to say that he has not put out anything of worth this gen except for Portal 2.
Besides the other games (HL2:EP2, Portal 1, TF2, DOTA 2, Left 4 Dead series) the revival of PC gaming was non-existant at the start of this gen. Steam was only introduced with the release of Half Life 2, and it was not even meant to be a store back then.
A year later this gen started and over the years Steam had gained a huge amount of customers and it changed so much for PC gaming.
A digital future, convenient PC gaming, flourishing of the indie scene are all things that Steam has helped to build. And it has grown a huge amount this gen. I'd consider it to be the most worthy output of Valve this gen, and you dismiss almost everything they are doing.
