How likely is it Bloodborne will be on PC?

Well, it's not actually a complete 0,0% chance. Let's see.
Given the premises there are just two possible scenarios where this game could end on PC:

1- Sony somehow at some point decides that keeping their exclusives on consoles isn't that important for them, so they start to publish their games on PC.
Estimated chances of this actually happening: roughly 0,1%.

2- Sony bankrupts in the next years, some other company buys their IPs, and this company is somehow more interested in publishing their IPs on competing platforms rather than attempting to relaunch the Playstation brand.
Estimated chances of this actually happening: 1,5%.

Sony already knocked off a Bamco property once this year, so I dunno about that. Bandai Namco's stake in Dark Souls is up in the air with Kadokawa's purchase as well. Western publishing will probably stay with BN, but who knows.

Can you tell me about Kadokawa's purchase? Because it's strange when FROM has freedom to develop games with any publisher outside of Kadokawa.

Sony published and co-developed, so no - not very likely.
Hey you want to come over and play some GameCube, we can bro out

The deal for Bloodborne was signed long before Kadokawa bought FROM. One would assume that any future Dark Souls or Armored Core titles would be published by default by Kadokawa, but since they currently have no dedicated western distribution arm, it's safe to say that they'd be partnering with another company to get their games out in the west.

So it's safe to say that in the future Kadokawa has the right to publish any FROM's games in Japan but they will let other publisher to handle in the west.

Well... ACTUALLY...

3 - PlayStation Now is on the PC, has PS4 games, and has Bloodborne on it. So... 2% in the next ten years. 10% in the next twenty.

No. This thread had no reason to go past the first page, and now it's about to hit the fifth.
I know, I know, he asked about having an exclusive, which is a a well known UNFORGIVABLE SIN, but come on, people; try to show some compassion and understanding for the poor fool.

Correct. They could always establish their own distribution arm in the west, especially since the FROM purchase is a clear sign of them wanting to be a more significant player in the console space, but it's pretty tough to get something like that off the ground with the kind of output they have now. They've had success with partnering with other publishers to get their games out (biggest one being Lollipop Chainsaw), and I can't imagine why Bandai-Namco wouldn't want to keep investing in Dark Souls, even if their stake in the series has been somewhat reduced.

i think it's safe to say bloodborne and its potential sequels will be ps4 only
dark souls 3 will definitely be multiplatform though, so there's that

I don't understand the constant confusion about Bloodborne's exclusivity.

1) Sony owns the Bloodborne IP. If you don't believe me, look it up in your country's trademark database. (Here's the US one.)

2) From Software isn't the sole developer. SCE Japan Studio, a division of SCE Worldwide Studios, is co-developing.

That's really all that needs to be said. This is the same reason Demon's Souls was never released for PC.

This is like asking "What are the odds God of War comes to PC?"

May be 5 years from now when this is available on Playstation Now and PS Now is available on PC. That is also MAY BE.

Either jadedness has made your forum humor that meta or you don't know I'm the OP. Both are funny but the former is odd.
Eh...
It was supposed to be a (humorous) assist about people giving you too much a hard time for your harmless question but I guess it didn't come out that clearly.

How certain are we that Bloodborne is actually exclusive? Has it actually been mentioned anywhere?

Seriously? its been talked about for months on numerous BB threads, seriously dude.. use the search function.

And isn't this a port begging thread??

Let me see. How many games that were published by Sony Computer Entertainment in the last 10 years saw the light on PC ? Zero .. hmm now let me see Bloodborne. Co-published by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan. Has this any chance to come to PC ? Very unlikely ! Sry bro :( It´s like asking if Mario will come to smartphones ... lol ... oh wait

its a japan studio, so 0 chances. it would be nice though, but its worth it just to buy a ps4 for it. beat it and sell the ps4.

Its not gonna happen. Sony doesn't release their games on pc like MS does. Dark Souls isn't a Sony ip, that's why it ended up on the pc. If you wanna play bloodbourne, your gonna have to get a ps4.
