How many Direct2Drive games did you lose?

Edit - Was confused thinking it was Gamersgate that Gamefly bought. For D2D I lost 8 of the 12 games I own. But I did download them all prior to the transitions as they recommended and I'm still able to install them from my copy so it's not that bad.

This had better be temporary...

The only cracked EXEs I can find for SWAT 4 aren't working. I don't know how this stuff works with all of the different DD services. Do I need a special executable for the Direct2Drive version?

What a terrible company.

Using cracked .EXEs is REALLY sketchy. They are prone to be laden with horrible trojans no matter where you get them... and this is even after scanning them with multiple up to date virus and malware scanners.

Not a viable solution in my opinion.

(I really hope I'm not breaking the forum rules by discussing trojan-ed cracks here. If so I'll remove my comment immediately)

Ah the client auto indexes other games that you have in your HDD. So some of those are not D2D. Only the ones that have serial keys are D2D games.

Yeah I know that :)

F.E.A.R 3
CIV 5
Bulletstorm
BFBC2 Vietnam
NFS HP
NFS SHIFT
Dead Space 2
Crysis 2
The Witcher 2
Dragon Age Origins

I know there are others, can't think of them right now...

...fuck

Even though some of them are steamworks I still think it's pathetic...

( was wrong on sf4 )

Check your email, should be a history of transactions made via D2D there at the very least.

No - (almost?) all games are still visible in Comrade. But now I found out that many more games are missing from my purchase history. Great. Condemned was one of them :(

Ground Control 2 is btw still available on their site... But apparently I don't own it anymore.
Condemned, I'm guessing that must be what DUPLICATE is. I remember buying it from D2D for ÂŁ2.50 ages ago and it's not in my purchase history.

I cleared my inbox a while ago, the only ones that survived were crysis 2 and tw2 all other mails are gone.

This is not my experience. I have used no-cd cracks for every PC game I own on disc (~50) without a problem. I got most of them from a single site so maybe that's just a reputable site (I don't just google for them and download the first link, obviously that's stupid). Don't think I can post it though.

What a terrible company. The only reason I went with D2D is because I couldn't find this elsewhere.

I'm getting this same thing with Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI. Sort of looks like my inability to access my account is pretty much academic.

Oh great.

I thought because the games appeared on my purchase history that I would be able to download them. Of course, that's not exactly accurate. Just tried to download any of my 16 purchases (I'm sure I had more) and nope, nothing, the client draws a blank.

Out of all the games I had 1 shows up on the Gamefly client, ONE. It also has lost at least one game, Bulletstorm from my history(Thankfully this is still installed), so I am exceptionally annoyed.

Seriously Gamefly, get your act together ASAP.

Shit. I forgot to log in and get my extras, too.

I doubt there's much hope for my AO copy of Manhunt 2, is there?

Why did these Gamefly morons buy the service if they won't honor customers' purchases? They need to get it together. Great way to ruin confidence and to eventually tank the business.

Well, I didn't ever buy from them, so nothing on my part, but damn, sounds like a lot of you were hit hard.

And that one's obnoxious since it won't activate on Origin. I got it on Steam so it's not a big deal, but still. :/

I already wrote an email to RPS on this matter. It would be great if you could also write them and OTHER gaming sites so this will be picked up soon. The more outrage there is, the better are our chances.

I don't remember what email address I used for D2D.

One of them was already used for a Gamefly account, but there don't appear to be any games in my purchase history.

When I try and login with the other email address, I reset the password and now it says that my account been cancelled.

Not sure what that's all about.

Strangely enough, that one's still there. I'm downloading to see if everything installs properly now, but Crysis 2, Blur, etc. aren't showing up for me.

I dont have many D2D games, going through my purchase list I see:

Black Ops
MW
Fallout NV
Ultima Online Mondain's Legacy

So I guess I am fine, although all but UO I activated through steam.

Once of them was already used for a Gamefly account, but there don't appear to be any games in my purchase history.

Ugh, just ugh...

Great, client shows Fallout New Vegas, Defense Grid, Saints Row 2 (all three steamworks), and then Drakensang and Westward, the latter which was free one day and absolute crap.

Gone are
-Witcher 2
-The Void
-Red Faction Guerrilla
-Company of Heroes Gold
-Supreme Commander Gold
-World in Conflict Gold
-Mount & Blade
-Neverwinter Nights 2 (and storm of zehir)

And more...I know I also bought Riddick.

I have most - if not all - of them stored on my network drive so it's not a massive inconvenience, but still annoying.

I seriously wonder if ShackNews will cover this.

I wonder how longer until these huge businesses start buying up all the DD services and stopping the massive mark downs on sales... big corporations always come in and eventually screw up a great thing.

I have Direct2Drive purchases going back to 2005, so I logged into Gamefly, checked my games list in My Account\Purchase History, and it looks like all my games are listed, and have a 'download now' button next to them.

To verify the download button does indeed work, I installed the Gamefly client, and randomly chose a game from the list, Neverwinter Nights 2. It's downloading now. We'll see how it turns out.

For me it just refuses to acknowledge that the email address I used for Direct2Drive even exists.

Not only is their game availability inconsistent, their account errors are too.

You from the US?

Look into the "Your games" list within the client and tell us how many there are. That's all games that are still left on your account.
Purchase history means nothing, because it's broken and the "download" button doesn't work for most games. (In my case for none).

What makes this worse is that other than this (horrific) incident, what GameFly was doing was not all that bad. What a fucking horrible idea though, this is going to be a PR nightmare if they don't do something soon. The fact that major publishers are missing from their inventory is even more puzzling.

Indeed it doesn't. I have kept all my D2D e-mails, so I have my keys etc, but unless if given download access, I have lost at least one game. This is simply unacceptable. I'm going to give it a week and hope the game turns up, but if it doesn't, I'll be complaining very loudly.

At least with the games on my history, there should at least be a way of downloading them eventually, but if Gamefly has been deleting transactions 9Especially as I can't remember all I have bought on the service!), that crosses the line.

Wait, how did you download NWN2? That's one it looks like I lost.

Some people are also downloading SWAT4 while other have lost it. It's a mess currently.
That DOES seem to imply there's growing pains to go through, rather than the stuff being lost period. Hopefully it's just that and within a week everything we own is back.

EDIT: Interestingly enough, going to Purchase History in the client shows the same three games... and a link at the bottom about not seeing the full list. Clicking it says "Don't see your full purchase history? You will soon!"

So, NWN2: Mask of The Betrayer does work, but NWN2 original does not. And, yes, from the US.

EDIT: In the "my games" list I have 7 listed.

I really hope they will fix this soon, but something like this really shoudn't have happened on launch. Not on this scale.
They have just lost a LOT of customers especially when this news spreads.

I'll give them a little while to sort everything out. Hopefully all of my games will make it back on the list, especially since Manhunt 2's still there, and that's about as niche an item as D2D had.

Can someone or OP edit OP to provide some background information to what happened?

I don't own any.

I only buy through Steam. Not even Steam Works is worthy for me. Must be purchasable through Steam for my monies.

In Gabe I trust or something.
