A trainer. And the gym is part of a bigger organisation, connected to the city's university. So that means free tennis, free martial arts, free rockclimbing at other locations. And a major discount on connected sports. Like paying $ 65 for six salsaclasses, two hours each. And since all of the employees have at least some sort of bachelors degree, the level is quite high. Great place to work, and work out.
Some of the people at my gym consider the $10 they spend a subscription to unlimited pizza once a month. They can't beat that deal.
I wish my gym had all that delicious carby food
Same set up (I presume yours is on peak access too?), for£14.99 a month. Just cancel the DD and I'm out if I ever need to.

I'm struggling to understand this. Do they get free pizza at the gym?
First Thursday once a month. The Fitness-Free Zone.
I honestly thought you were joking but a quick google search says otherwise. Unbelievable.
And in 8 years he still has the gear, and you not?The home gym is nice, but I just can't see the cost being worth it. It'd take me 8 years at my gym before I hit $2500.
It really fucking sucks when you know more about proper form and creating regimented programs to suit the need of a variety of individuals than the people they hire as trainers. I wish there was a better option around here.
Meh, that's pretty much at every commercial gym. There's only one trainer out of 10 at my gym who squats and deadlifts. The others give you an annoyed look for deadlifting or stare at you for using the squat rack too long.
Oh well. I bust my ass when I'm there so they can deal
It's more about the convenience. If you have the space and disposable income there's really no reason not to. Plus if you have an s/o to save a membership that doubles the value. The home gym is nice, but I just can't see the cost being worth it. It'd take me 8 years at my gym before I hit $2500.
£50/month was actually one of the cheaper options for me, it was discounted from £85 because I was one of the first to join the gym. All other gyms in my local area are £110+.
It's a small gym, but I like it that way. 100 member cap.
100 a year for full access to the universities' facilities. (like 5 minutes from where I live)
It has everything. Immense fitness facilities, free courses for every sport you can dream of, access to the swimming pool, racketball courts, tennis courts, rock climbing walls, personal trainers, etcetera.
I took up boxing classes just last week, it's fucking awesome.
~$2500 one time fee, $0 a month and zero wait for equipment.
