How much do you pay for gym membership

My small town gym is a non-profit, owned and run by it's members. I pay 15 Canadian a month.

It's small, but fairly empty. The equipment is excellent and it's frankly better than any YMCA or big city gym I've been to

$50 a month for 24 Hour Fitness. I really wanted to just pay $20 a month and join a cheap gym like everyone else, but the hours at cheap gyms don't jive with my schedule, especially on weekends.

24 Hour Fitness, $350 for 2 years thanks to Costco. Fuck paying monthly, there's just too much bullshit dealing with gyms.

Really wanted to do this. The voucher specifically excludes gyms in my state, though. :/

I have a $20 dollar black card membership. However work reimburses me if I got 12 times a month so it is mainly free.

I feel for those that spend more than $50.

$21/month, and it's literally across the street from me. Has absolutely everything I need from a gym, too.

I pay $50 a month. One year contract, but after that you're not locked in anymore. It becomes monthly.

It's the closest gym to me, but honestly, I don't like it. I'm going less and less. Too much wait on the free weights. Place is mostly stupid cardio machines and other crap. Idk... wish there were more options near me.

Used to pay 20 a month for 24hr fitness.

I bought a house a few yrs ago and they opened a super sport nearby so i upgraded to that for 45.

It was annoying - Even though it was a super sport there were only 3 squat rack/cages which were constantly full.

so i cancelled my membership and got my own rack, bench, bar n bumpers last black friday for about 1000$ the only thing i really miss is quick n ez dumbbell work. And treadmills haha

I basically have a PF membership for the treadmills and stair machine. I'm never affording owning a good treadmill in the near future, lol

20 a month. Me and the wife go about 3 times a week. Once we have the kids out to school. Then i head to work. Harder when you have kids and work to get some gym time but we make it work.

$25 for a semester at college. Hate going during busy hours, people will take your weights without asking and lunk weights they can't even lift properly.

Been thinking about the LA Fitness near my house but that's almost $50/month

At work we have a small gym. Weights, some machines and a few stationary bikes and treadmills. It's ok but not great.

I'm looking at this other gym. I think somewhere around $50 per month but this might be an intro rate.

Basketball court, racquetball, Indoor Track(no thanks lol), Sauna, Hot Tub and Steam Rooms, swimming pool, tennis courts(extra cost), massages, all kinds of classes, and your standard weight and cardio stuff.

I wonder if I can do a 6 months deal. November - April. I have way to many other things to do in the summer.

$7/paycheck which comes out to $14/month through a deal between the company I work for and Fitness Inc. A decent number of powerlifters here.

When I get back to NYC, I'm looking to join a Olympic weightlifting club which may be as low as $136/mo to $225/mo.

So I've become a fat inactive fuck and have started looking around.

I actually looked at something through my insurance. I will pay $25 a month for basic access to a network of gyms. So places like Anytime Fitness and LA Fitness participate and I can go where I want as long as they participate.

I just pay the $25 a month and I'm in. Anything that goes beyond the basic services and access, though, might cost extra through the gym. That $25 also gets me discounts for massages and the like and other wellness services.

I have Florida Blue insurance and it goes through the Healthways program.

ÂŁ23 a month for gym and swimming / sauna. at halo leisure, Hereford

I think that's a good deal, but it's offset by a ridiculously steep monthly bus pass from 'First' Buses, for ÂŁ75 because I'm 2 miles outside of the Hereford City Center tier of pricing, which would be ÂŁ45 a month. Instead I have to buy that general midlands pass.

I pay $30 CND a month for Goodlife, on a 1 year contract... is that a lot?

It's literally 3 minutes by walk too, so I figured I'd save on money and convenience, as the next gym would be a small car ride away.

$33 per month, initial payment was $170

I know a gym near Bramalea city center, where you only have to pay $234 for 1 year. Place is a bit far away from my house though. Right now I am with LA Fitness

Bumped this thread because I find no need to make another one.

I received an email yesterday that my gym is increasing my dues AGAIN. This will be the fourth time since 2013. Doing the math, I would be paying $75/month with tax. So I'm canceling and finding another gym to go to.

I've recently joined a gym near Glasgow (Hamilton). It's ÂŁ13.99 a month with no contract. I can cancel at any time.

$48/month. Pretty high, but it's a nice gym and even better it's a block from my apartment.

I'll probably be cancelling soon though. I'm going back to school next semester (at least I applied to, don't expect to be denied) and I'll have free access to two gyms, one of which I think isn't too far from me and the other is on the main campus so I think I should be set.

$25 a month at Steve Nash Fitness World (yes the basketball player owns a gym chain) in Vancouver

I'm also taking a course to become a certified personal trainer next month

$18 bi weekly.

Check and see if your gym actually charges monthly or does biweekly. My gym advertises $36/m, but that is actually misleading since they take $18 from my account every 2 weeks.

$18x26(bi weekly)= $468

$36x12(monthly)= $432

By charging bi weekly, they basically charge you for 13 months in a 12 month span.
