I wonder if I will ever grow out of it.

We're close in age and I can tell you I love it like I did when I used to play Centipede on my dad's Atari, maybe even more. One of the guys I work with is in his late 50's and he is halfaway through Mass Effect. Keep in mind, he's from a generation that didn't have games in their youth, so he started late. I love that this is my favortite hobby because it will be so nice to share this passion with my kids and have something in common with them (at least in their youth).

Gaming is just a new form of media, so it's a shame about the "kid" associations that go along with it. If I meet someone who is 45 and still likes to read J.R.R Tolkien I really don't feel any need to say "gee, when are you going to cut it out with all the kiddy crap." As more generations who grew up with gaming reach adulthood I expect that the stigma that comes with being an older gamer will start to fade pretty fast.
