I just don't see much point to the GAF baseball threads, it's not really a place for actual baseball discussion or analysis. Mainly it's a game thread for fans of the most popular/rich teams, who don't really know much about other teams. "Melky Cabrera hit a double, yay!" I really don't need to read that.

In all honesty though, how much a poster is recognized is likely directly coorelated to their post counts.

So would that mean Y2Kev is the "most recognizable" non-mod gaffer?

You would also have to take into account many other variables...
* Similarity in interests between Person A and Person B (whether they post in the same threads of not)
* Spread of posts over time (Person A might have heaps of posts in 2005, before Person B even joined)
* Unique or memorable tags (PEINS PEINS PEINS PEINS)
* Unique or memorable avatars (http://i42.tinypic.com/1ern77.gif)
* Unique or memorable threads (Nintendobooger's backfire threads. Even if those were the only things he ever posted, I'd still know him)
* Anything else unique or memorable about a poster (

)
* Some members achieving meta-status (I knew 'ban wario if old' before I knew wario64)

what the fuck. lol. who comes up with this stuff? i never had any sort of breakdown, nervous or otherwise. i just stopped posting for a long time but eventually resumed with a much lower posting frequency. from time to time i also still do photoshops. albeit sometimes it's for a different message board
