one of my favorite scenes in American Splendor is Joyce talking to Harvey on the phone. They are becoming closer and Harvey is about to ask her to come to Cleveland to see him, but she is unsure because she doesn't know what he looks like; she's only seen him in the comics. There's a brilliant piece of animation that recaps all of the different Harveys from the different artists, it's always stuck with me.

3/10. I've never found myself to be that attractive and I do not really like anything about myself except my eyes. A lot of this might have to do with the fact that I never found anyone that wanted to be with me until I was 23. Because of this, I ended up having severe self-esteem issues which still persist to this day.

Solid 6, can look good in some angles with my mouth shut,

But my "real face" is inoffensive at best.

I'm the Assasins Creed of people.

you're going to make some people feel bad lol

The Assassin's Creed of people is good a phrase though. It should be used more often.

I really like the jazz song in that movie.

I'm just curious, but is your avatar supposed to be you?

Yeah.

10/10 easily

I dunno honestly. According to girls I've dated and others, I'm a 7 maybe. Maybe 8 if I lose weight and start working out again.

3/10.

That's probably due to my low self-esteem though.

I've been trying to view myself more positively but it's extremely difficult.

I can't think of many positive things about myself. :(

Maybe like a 7. I think I look good for being 35 and working in an office all day, and I take fairly good care of myself. I have to consciously remind myself to smile, though, because I have a resting jerkface.

oh please
You're Obama, you're hot, shut up.

Haha I don't want to. Sometimes I feel like half blessed like, yeah, I don't feel ugly enough to not have the confidence to talk with anybody, but I don't look good enough to intimidate anybody either.

In a sad way, my father always tells me of how lucky I am as I look "white enough" for me not to have a problem almost anywhere in the world (Contrary to my siblings and my parents because as you can see they're very brown). However there's always self-judgment, whenever I look at any pic of mine I can't help but feel "That nose is too big, eyes are to small, the smile shape is horrible and deforms your face, chin is too round, hair is too scarce, the lower teeth are crooked" and so on. Some days I can't even look at the mirror as my own reflection repulses me, not because of what it is, but because what it isn't. Self image problems are not a game.
howaboutno/10
Hope you don't mind I say you are one of the most beautiful women on gaf. I already said it. Oops. Sorry not sorry.

ugly/10

honestly thats how I kinda feel. was bullied in middle school/highschool for the way I look so im guessing they had a point

do excuse the hair though, i snapped this after work

You're not ugly, bro.

Be gentle on yourself. You need to work on your confidence. It's a habit like anything else.

OP you talking about a mirror-you/me or photo-you/me?

Because I look better in the mirror than I do in photos.

5/10 mirror (average, people on street wouldn't take second glance for good or bad) and 4/10 photo.
I didn't think of that, I guess both. Up until recently 8/10 mirror 6/10 photo. I literally learned how to smile non creepily for pictures last week

Man, people say I look like so many different people;

Juanas
Pete Wentz
Anothony Kiedis
Dude from Franz Ferdinand

A really funny one by an old lady "you look like a America's got talent contestant."

Probably 8/10. I don't have any confidence problems and personally think I look great when I look into the mirror. That being said I feel like I look goofy in every photo I take and I also have that tall and lanky look.

Need to try and work on building muscle over the year, but I usually end up giving up because I don't see results and never build endurance from doing exercises.

Bahaha I went on a trip, took a lot of pictures, realized I smile creepily in pictures, and worked on that. I think I'm better at it now
