The server at www.pcrichard.com is taking too long to respond.

The site crapped out on me at checkout. I'm not sure if that's a blessing or a curse.giga said:

Depends on the item. Some never quite shake off the turd veil even at low price.Gary Whitta said:It'a amazing how popular an unpopular item becomes once it's super-cheap.

You're not forced into anything. Everything I mentioned can be done in Safari mobile, I don't need apps for that. But the apps I mentioned are so much better and much more enjoyable to use, it's not even funny. It would be stupid to use the web versions on a tablet. I don't even use Google Reader on my PC anymore, because Reeder is so much better.Marty Chinn said:Or you get used to what you're forced to use.

It's all about relative worth. There is absolutely nothing in the $100 price range that delivers anything near what the TouchPad provides.Gary Whitta said:It'a amazing how popular an unpopular item becomes once it's super-cheap.

yea, I saw that post about what the HP team thought about the hardware and how they were disheartened that the OS ran on an iPad was significantly faster.dream said:You seriously have no idea...
I mean, I don't want to scare anyone off because it's pretty useful for $99 if you don't already have a tablet. But if you're used to using an iPad or a Galaxy 10.1, this thing is like...like...something that is much worse.

I think this device will only water mouths for next year's tablets.

I'll definitely pick one up on Amazon if they become available. Because returns are free.dream said:I almost want you to buy one just so you can commiserate with me.

use this code: SAVE30HP
get it for 120.
Probably, but I've used Coby Kyros and it was bad once you rooted it and stuff. It's only $137.BiggNife said:It's all about relative worth. There is absolutely nothing in the $100 price range that delivers anything near what the TouchPad provides.

Have no idea if it's legit
But Reeder has readability support, the web version doesn't (afaik). Readability > every other feature. I don't need an rss reader if I have to open an extra tab to read the full story. But hey, that's just, like, my opinion, man.Marty Chinn said:Google Reader on a PC is better than Reeder due to the fact that it will remember where you left off when looking at in the middle of a feed. I like Reeder and all, but that aspect annoys me compared to using it on a PC.

I didn't know until now. (I was out all day.)
They're sold out.
Damn.
Is there a Windows version of Reeder or are we talking OSX?brotkasten said:But Reeder has readability support, the web version doesn't (afaik). Readability > every other feature.
