I kind of just want it to sit on my coffee table for GameFaqs and Facebook when I'm playing games on my TV. And have Skype enabled so I can chat with my parents. I mean shit for $100 yes. For $400 no.

People are assuming it will be hacked to have supported operating systems on it and the palm folks have said updates will come (now that could be lies).

I personally got this for a good tablet today webos) and will hopefully allow me to run the windows 8 beta when it comes (then upgrade to something a bit better when the final windows 8 hits with hardware designed for it).... $99 for that is a pretty good deal.

Internet + Email + ebook/comics device with a 10 inch IPS panel. Skype is inbuilt. Browser supports flash. Plays 1080p video. All for $100.

If someone ports Android to it, that is a bonus. But even without it, it's a great device for $100.

Still has internet functionality, any currently existing programs, etc. etc. It'd be good just as a mobile internet browser for $100 plus you get the portable DVD player functionality if you want to get digital media versions of what you want to watch. It's nice for $100 regardless of probably no longer getting updates.

There is homebrew for it.. to "jailbreak it" you just have to enable the built-in developer mode by typing a character sequence into the search bar on the home screen.
