Huge Best Buy Sale on 4/26?

I just picked up GTA: CW from Best Buy. They didn't have the game on the rack and so I asked one of the BB folks if they had any more copies. Of course, I got the lame reply, "Did you see any on the shelf?" And of course, I lied, "No, but I called 20 minutes ago and the guy told me you had 2 copies available." He left to go to the back and emerged with a copy of the game.

I'm going to start my first GTA experience since Vice City....now.
 
Picked up Pure (360), Infinite Undiscovery, and SCIV (PS3), and DMC4 for my friend.

They had a bunch of Infinite Undiscovery left, only two Pures after mine, and only one DMC4.
 
My Gamecrazy honored and priced matched 2 of the games. I went to Gamestop to complete the trifecta.

ROCKBAND PS3 NEW
PURE PS3 NEW
Guitar Hero 3 bundle w/guitar NEW

30 dollars.

FML :D

I picked up Soul Calibur IV for PS3 today. Can I open it tonight or does it need to be in the shrink wrap when I bring it back? Do I even need to bring it back or will just the receipt do?
 
Damn I just bought Pure for $30. :( Might pick up SC4 or LP though.

How is Lost Planet on PS3? It's pretty much universally trashed (the port), but I saw a dark10x post where he actually praised the PS3 port. So I'm curious.
 
So is this definitely real? I dropped by BB today and they had at least 4 copies of all of the games I checked...planning to go at opening on Sunday if this sale's really happening.

Of course it is, and if you need some form of proof, I went to BB today and asked someone about it. They had to go ask a supervisor but when he came back he told me that they are.

Yes it is. I was at my store today prepping for it, actually. We had lots of Infinite Undiscovery and Pure in the warehouse so I put those out.

They may not do it everywhere, but I might put a table out with all the $10 games. Makes it easier to grab what you want.
 
So I bought Lost Planet on the PS3 yesterday and plan to price match it tomorrow. Do I have to show up with an unopened copy of the game to get the difference or is it safe to play now and just bring the receipt? Kinda wanna try it out : /

In case (for some reason that won't happen) they don't honor the price match you need the game unopened to return it, unless you don't mind keeping it for full price.

Honestly it's just one more day though, not that big of a deal.
 
This sale is basically a clearance. I've already seen almost every game on those lists blownout and discontinued at other retailers. The may offer rainchecks, but that doesn't mean the games will be restocked for you to use the raincheck. If there was something you missed, try looking around, you may even find it cheaper.



For those picking up GTACW early and price matching later... the wording under the price suggests that you have buy something else to get that price. It is part of another deal not indicated in that picture. So you probably won't be allowed to price match it if you don't meet the terms of the deal and withou knowing it may not even be worth the savings. NBA 2K9 has a similar notation, so the deal looks to be Take Two related.

It's supposed to be sealed when you go price match it.

I dont know what ad you're looking at, but it clearly says $19.99 after $15 savings. There are no terms.

You're probably right. I just don't remember them using phrasing quite like that before for a regular sale... but then I've haven't shopped at Best Buy since Christmas.

It shows it for me. Add it in the cart and it's $9.99

Beware of shipping prices though. You can't do instore pick up on these items.
 
I don't wanna pay for shipping and handling, but I doubt that I'll be able to find these in-store tomorrow.

Also, the site doesn't have Pure for the 360. :(

Yeah, I had to go instore to find a copy of Pure. Fed the SKU number to an employee that checked it on RSS and found a store that had like 17 copies.
 
I was going to wake up early and go hunting for the PS3 version of Soul Calibur IV, but I decided to just get it online.

$9.99 + $2.99 shipping + $0.78 sales tax = $13.76

I'm happy with the final price.

I still sorta want Quantum of Solace, but it wasn't available online for that price and I don't know if I feel like driving to Best Buy just for that.
 
fucking nice just got singstar vol 2, rockband 1(again),infinite undiscovery and silent hill homecoming for 55$ very fucking nice! i wanted ferrari chanllenge though

I did the same. I decided not to get DMC4. I really hate how shipping costs stack. They're just going to send them in the same envelope anyway.

At the very least 3 the things I want are in the ad, which I can both attempt to price match, and get rainchecks on.
 
As an update, just picked up Turok, Too Human, and SC IV for 30 bucks.

I would have bought DMC4 too, but some little 8 year old with a mullett down to his waist raced in with his dad at store opening.

Whoever went and bought yesterday/Friday and will price-match probably had the best route.
 
just got back from BB and had no issues with price adjusting the games I bought on Friday. also picked up IU since they still had a ton of them. People on CAG freaking out over the price adjustment stuff crack me up.
 
Just got back. Picked up Infinite Undiscovery, Pure and Quantum of Solace (with a shirt) for $26 after a reward cert. How'd I do?
 
Did anyone use the $20 reward zone coupon for Infinite Undiscovery? It would make the game -$9.99 after coupon.
