Even for $9.99, Too Human is Too Expensive.

You see what I did there? :lol

Nothing on that list appeals to me, which is kind of a shame because I've been looking for something new to play.

1. lawl

2. Not a thing? Damn. You're either really up to date or have very strict taste.

Hm, a lot of people seem to praising that game in this thread. Someone convince me. I know nothing about it at all.
It's a great-looking arcade racer that rewards technique and learning tracks and has a ton of cool tricks, one of my favorite games last year. There are some amazing looking environments and tracks.

Only things on the list that slightly catch my interest are Infinite Undiscovery and Soul Calibur 4, but I know that I would completely burn out on IU (Can't get into JRPGs anymore) and get bored with SC4 since I haven't really had much interest in Fighters in ages.

I know they're both great games, and at "$9.99 who cares if you never get more than a few hours out of them", but that's still $20 I really don't need to spend.

If I were employed, that might make it a little easier.

360:

Infinite Undiscovery
Pure
Silent Hill: Homecoming
Too Human

I'll probably pick those up if they're in stock. Hopefully they're in stock.....

I'll bite the bullet and get GTA: CW this weekend, then. If it sucks, you folks will hear it from me.

Well, if you think it sucks, it's more telling of your taste in games than anything.

Bought Pure and Chinatown Wars. Will be taking them back to be price matched on/after Sunday. The total came out to $90 after tax! But after price match it should be a little more than $30. :D

Went to bb after work and there was plenty of everything for the ps3 and 360. The only game I didn't see listed was SC4 for the 360, but there was plenty of that version on the ps3.

Talk about temptation, but in the end I walked out with just Turning Point(liked the demo last year, just didn't $60 like it) and Pure. Here is hoping the price matching goes well on sunday.

I've never done this price matching at Best Buy where you buy the product ahead of time and then come back to get a discount after it's gone on sale.

Can anyone give me a quick rundown of what I need to do so I don't screw myself over? Can I open the games and play them and just bring back the receipt? Or do I have to keep them sealed and bring back the games along with the receipt?

And is this a gamble doing this or will they always price match even after you bought it?

Any clarifications would be much appreciated. Gracias.

Probably could have saved effort by typing ":( unemployed" as your first post :lol

Yeah, you just need a receipt. You have 30 days from when you purchased the product to do the price match. We've changed our return and exchange policies recently to make them a lot more flexible (we even stopped charging restocking fees for low margin products), so I'm sure we can accommodate just about any scenario.

Went and grabbed Pure, Infinite Undiscovery, and DMC4. Definitely want to keep Pure, not sure about the others.

May go back for Overlord, and may check a different store to see if they have Turok. Will have to hit up a different one at some point anyway, since the one I went to didn't have GTA in stock.

I'll give Turok a chance at $9.99 and not a penny more!

::edit::

May also go for Operation Darkness, if for no other reason than that $9.99 may be worth it solely to say I have a game with werewolves and vampire Hitler.

What Ridley said, but I personally wouldn't open them up before you have the price adjustment done with receipt in hand; If everything goes to plan it won't matter if they're open or not, but it's only a wait of two days, and I would go for the extra insurance.

We do so love your stories.

This.

In case they get stupid with me I'll ask them to return everything and re-sell it to me. It shouldnt be an issue really but sometimes you get some dumb cunts at the service counter.

DMC4 and Infinite Undiscovery for 10$? Hmmm... two games I've been wanting to play for a while. I may bite if I go up there and they have them.

These prices = shameless double dip for some Ps3 > 360 pick ups, along with a few games I am wary of, but not at $10.

stopping by my bb during lunch break tomorrow to pick up some games for pm on sunday. hopefully they have some left.

Walmart price matches too, right?
Yah, that is most likely what I am going to do, as 3 of the 360 games I wanted are in the ad. Still going to give best buy a shot monday though, sucks I have to work Sunday during all hours of best buy being open.

I'm getting GTA: CW today, and will price match it on Sunday.

Tecmo Bowl at $10 looks pretty tempting, but I'm not hearing such great things about the game, like the lack of individual player stats and the piss-poor menu feature.

I just noticed Fire Emblem on the ad, and I'm a fan of the series, but it's still too expensive. I was hoping it would be $20, as well.

If you Price Match back at Best Buy on Sunday with a receipt that says you paid cash, if I bought it today, what happens? They just give me cash back? Really?

Yah.

Does Samba on the Wii come with the special controllers, or is it just the game? Anyone thats played this, how would this be for young kids?

You've never seen that old Circuit City (or was it Radio Shak?) commercial, with the little punk kid in headphones coming into the store with the sales ad, whining about how he spent more money on the same walkman because he bought it a week earlier?

You just need the receipt.

I just checked (and I'm posting from work lol) and these games will apparently be offered for the same price online starting Sunday, though there might some slight differences in overall availability on the titles. To be honest, you'll probably find a better selection and availability in-store.

just got back from my BB, most of the 360 stuff was already picked over. I grabbed the last copies of Pure and DMC4. They had a shit ton of Infinite Undiscovery though :lol may pick it up on sunday when I go back to price adjust.

BAH...I JUST (like 10 minutes ago) bought MLB The Show....looks like I'll be going back in a couple days for my price adjustment...

PURE is awesome. I got it on Black Friday for $30 and it's a total blast.

Question about the pricematch policy. If I buy the game now and it's the last copy on the shelf, and then go back on Sunday to do the pricematch and get the money back, will they match the price even if there are no copies of the game left in stock?

Oh, I just realized GTA CW is $20. Hm. I don't want to spend much so I'll either do Infinite Undiscovery + Pure or GTA CW + Pure, because I really don't expect to get that much fun from IU.

Choices, choices.

I can recommend the Bourne game to anyone for $10. I picked it up for $20 recently and had a good time. It has some of the worst produced cutscenes I've seen in years along with some gameplay issues, but for a low price, there is some good fun to be had. I eventually really grew to enjoy the gameplay systems. The farm house scenario in particularly was really exciting and well done.

Goddamn, the local Best Buy is already cleaned out of IU, DMC4 and Soul Calibur (plenty of Pure though). Are they going to be restocking this ish?
You could possibly bring in the BB ad to Wal-Mart on Sunday and get a price match for IU, DMC4, SC, and whatnot.
