No thats a good thing, I thought they were an hour ahead (they are part of the year)

Means the enws is wrong, the plane is still in the air
yeah after looking at the times i came to this conclusion. Its not time for it to land yet.

What if the first one was a downed plane and the second one is heading towards the same target? A similar experience of thinking the first one was an accident should keep everybody on their toes.

Those times don't make any sense. How could the trip take that long yet have the plane exploding on the island 30 minutes after takeoff?

Those times show each time according to local timezone so maybe it's changed because of that?

The local time in Fort Lauderdale is the same as San Juan at this time of year.

so no plane crash. thats good. Some idiot SCADA engineer probably fucked up some PLD somewhere.

Why would it be a security risk? You have been able to do this for years.

Actually now that you mention it this does not suprise me. Just reminds of the hacker at Defcon who should how to get a pilot license or flood the FAA site without actually having real info.

I am a security guy so I am always looking at the security angle. Guess this flight path stuff is important information.

Shit. I am sleepy. Gonna hit the bed, hopefully when I wake up this thread will be updated enough :lol

assuming it's already in the air, why would it be unless you were stalking somebody?

my parents have done that. they will follow the plane i'm on online to make sure it didnt crash. then after it lands i call them...even though they already know i landed safely because they were following the plane.

Ha, y estaba a punto de preguntar donde te fuiste Relix. Night.

So far, nothing that hasn't been reported on this thread has been said in the news...some random points:
  • The explosion apparently broke the mirrors of many cars that were on transit, which was part of the reason of people stopping their cars in the highway.
  • People are being taken out from the highway, forced to leave their cars there.

surface to air missiles or some foolishness based off of the planes location in the air. I guess its fine guys, I am always searching for the security angle in things. Guess thats what working towards a phd in computer security does for you.

i knew you could see text based departure and arrival times. but a few years ago i remember reading something about a software where you could see every plane and where it was currently located in the air. it wasn't available to public or whatever. so i was surprised myself cause i never see this.

Yeah lets go to sleep, maybe we wont be blown to pieces in our sleep =\

If you have access to surface to air missiles, I think you could probably track the plane anyhow.

Not to mention the planes moving, so you would completely miss (since the site doesn't update in real time).

Ok, so the spirit plane has landed for sure.

No other large plane reported missing.

So if this WAS caused by a plane, it was either general aviation or military.

Probably none of the above, and just your standard refinery explosion.

Im going to sleep. Still dissapointed that after almost 2 hours no US media has reported anything.

There's the risk of the pipes.... if somehow, someway, fire gets into that then I am gonna fly from the explosion. I am mere miles away from it (Levittown).

Breaking: The major highway of the metro area will be completely closed.

Yeah but the ability to know when a plane will be passing over some part of a specific piece of land sounds dangerous to me. Its all good this is not new just new to me.

Well, that was fast..of the four main channels, only 2 were covering the incident...one is just a live feed of the area with no audio, the other one was a live feed of the area, people walking out of their cars... with audio and a reporter explaining, but that one was already cut and they returned to some random shitty program..and the other one is still audio-less.

Breaking: Communities around the industrial park are being evacuated thanks to the pipes. Tanks are still full of fuel.

Fire could be burning for several days :o

They're saying they don't nkow what cause it and they're not worried about that right now.

#1 deal with casualties - immediate damage - try to keep unexploded tanks safe
#2 get the word out on road closures
#3 Medalla

Cataño seems to be the most immediate region.

We dont have people from Catano in PR Gaf?

Reports right now that the surrounding counties are being evacuated.
I first read that as "surrounding countries".

And was like Woah.

Me too! I had to re-read it.

From the radio feed, they're saying that this is one of the most serious things that has happened in Puerto Rico and that the smoke from the fire is one of the worst things you could ever breathe in. And Homeland Security arrived.

This is selfish, but I hope this doesn't turn out to be the work of terrorists or an outside country. I can't take much more war and conflict.

I'm listening to local radio. Pretty troubled woman just called and she wouldn't hang up talking about her kids and stuff. Hopefully this works out. Take care, Relix.

Sad stuff... =/

I am going to be hitting the bed. If I feel another tremor like earlier trust me I'll be the first one here.

That's not selfish at all. I hope it was a mechanical accident.

Occam's razor.

I just think there are better things I should beworried about. People are hurt and I hope they are okay, but I feel bad that my gut reaction was/is, "How is this gonna effect me?"

You can notice the two smaller ones (I thought those were a thunder) then the big boom that causes everything to shake. Nice find.

EDIT: 11 Tanks have exploded so far.

Acuéstate cabrón. :lol
