It's the same network that has Real Sex and Cathouse, plus she was naked last season. Nothing new...

Oh, because Real Sex and other late night shows are the same as their big Sunday night lineup, yup.

I dont remember any bush shots like that, combined with Sasha Grey on Entourage last week (less surprising) it seems a bit different.

HBO wants ratings. Getting their ass kicked.

are they really? i havent kept up with the numbers but i thought True Blood was doing better than ever? Entourage cant be doing too bad...what a shame

What's happened to the show? Its like they are in a holding pattern, nothing's really changed since season 1. I mean the biggest story right now is that Tanya might end up switching roles to join Ray on the frontlines. Everything else is pretty much exactly like season one, Ray's having problems relating with his clients, Lenore is being a bitch, the ex, kids and husband are just damn unlikeable. Its pretty disappointing since the season seemed it was heading in a new direction.

You're right. The show really isn't going anywhere, which is pretty bad for a show that is almost finishing its second season.

I wonder if it can ever really be salvaged since the whole idea of the show is preposterous. A male prostitute who pretty much only sleeps with moderately attractive (or better) women? True Blood seems like a documentary compared to that premise.

Ratings wise, I doubt it. However, buzz wise, the Showtime shows are talk up a lot now plus Starz's offerings. Really, it's just the fact that they have competition and all/most of their classic series are gone.

It's meandering. The show isn't about Ray anymore except for the old cliche drama stuff like getting back with his wife and stuff.

I did like the pimp giving advice stuff but didn't like where it headed.

Man I really wish that they'd have Tonya killed mob style.
She is just so irritating.

Ray, his neighbor, and most of the chicks he bangs are interesting but
Lenore and Tonya have pretty much outstayed their welcome.

Meh. Should probably quit watching this soon.

Im gonna stop watching this, Ray and Mike are awesome but the majority of the cast ranges from forgetable (Ronnie) to complete unlikeable assholes with no redeeming qualities whatsoever that makes the whole thing unrealistic because you cant grasp how someone would put up with so much bullshit (the daughter).

Plus Leonore wasnt nude this ep.

quick question, is there some kind of incestuous thing going on between the kids? is that what the son was going on about? his poem seemed kinda freaky to me

New episode tonight.
Fall Off My Love; I'm the Allergen

Mike accuses Ray of betrayal; Ronnie vents his frustrations with Jessica at a dermatology banquet; Tanya lashes out at Ray; Lenore and Horny Patty.

This show is a trainwreck of awfulness.

They had a nice schtick going in the beginning with the Tonya/Ray dynamic.

Then they found a nice way to completely ruin it by making every moment with Tonya a one step forward, seventeen steps back affair. I don't know what any of you see in Lenore, the definition of a one-note character. The family life - I think we're all in agreement that we can do without that every single episode, and that occupies a good 12-15 minutes of every episode.

At this point, a show with promise is now just so awful, one just watches because one is too lazy to change the channel after True Blood and before Entourage.

The show is so bad, one can't even find fun from watching the show for the purpose of mocking it.

tanya has been incredibly annoying this season, it makes me want to stop watching like with the dexter finale

Everybody is a one note character.

Tonya is the only one driving interesting plots. She just backslapped a bitch with a belt man. She's got this weeds-like tail spin goin. She's doin' premium channel shit while everybody else moans about their petty little basic cable problems. Fuck that shit. I don't even know why lenore is there. mike is just a tool for a plot point. Ray's life is too simple to even fill up more than 5 minutes of every episode. Ray's ex and the kids have problems too irrelevant and fuckin' silly for even the show to keep up with. Shit just comes and goes with little to no resolution. It's got to go back to tonya and ray and more hookin'. But with the way things are shaping up i get the impression ray and his ex are gonna get back together and HBO is gonna axe this crap.

HBO needs to end this stupid show now. The scene were she hits someone with a belt wasn't plausible in the least bit and non of the characters are the least bit interesting.

It has been kind of shit from the beginning. You think something will build from the story but after 2 seasons of nothing happening, I just don't care anymore. They have turned Tonya into an unlikeable bitch, when she was atleast kind of sweet in the first season. Ray's kids are still crap, and does anyone really wanna see him back with his ex wife? The main premise of the show was fucking and there is barely any at all in this show. For some reason I continue to watch though:lol

I just wrapped up season 1, fucking excellent show. I'm going to have to DL season 2 to get up on it. Good times. I hope it's as high quality.

Edit: After reading the last few posts, I guess not!

There have been a couple nice moments, but overall this season has been pretty disappointing for me.

its not great but i still find it enjoyable. this may be because i have a high tolerance of shows and watch a lot of other crap though. so this is like high quality compared to some of the other junk on my tv list.

This show has reached it's plateau

It was an awesome series for Season 1, but 2 just lags, it's the same bullshit week in, week out

Every week T-Brain does her cycle of doing something out of character (ie build her up), then remorse, then the backlash, then the apology/forgiveness, then back to the start of the cycle

The show is suppose to be about Ray, and his Man-Whore woes, how he starts out small and dare I say virgin, and rises to be one of the top gigolos or some shit like that

2 pimps controlling 1 whore, with a third sprinkled in for wisdom, and to top that off, he has feelings for his ex-wife, da' fuck?

The season finale better be epic, or this show gets thrown off my DVR listing, for next season, if there ever is one

I enjoy the show, but for none of the reasons they want me to. Nothing important ever happens, but the characters are likable (minus Tanya).

Thomas Jane rea;;y carries the show though. If he wasn't so likable it wouldn't be worth watching.

Thomas Jane played Mickey Mantle in the HBO film 61*.

All of the Yankee Stadium scenes were filmed at the old Tiger Stadium before it was knocked down.

How about THAT!

- HBO renews ‘Hung’ for third season
HBO has picked up sophomore comedy series "Hung" for a third season.

The network has ordered another 10 episodes to air next year.

The pickup wasn't entirely expected. The show has performed modestly for the network, roughly matching "Entourage," and has dipped slightly from its first-season average.

With "Entourage" airing a short six-episode final season next summer, however, letting "Hung" hang around another year gives the network a familiar face to pair with a new comedy.
I'm conflicted. Not sure I'll be watching next season.

I usually DVR this Sundays and watch Monday or Tuesday -- its certainly nothing special, but I find it enjoyable enough. I was laughing pretty hard in the last episode with Tonya attacked Horny Pattie with the belt. The whole scene at the Dermatology Awards Ceremony was just tough to watch.

Seems odd to me that HBO would renew this for a 3rd Season but they didnt do the same for Flight of the Conchords which was a far superior show (in my opinion of course). Ill probably tune back in, but much like this season, it wont be something I watch the night it comes out every week. Not really sure where else they can take the story from here.

- Onion AV Club review
Season two of Hung was a mess, but it didn't have to be. In pretty much every episode, there would be moments that reminded me of the show that I really enjoyed in season one, but there would also be moments where things just sort of happened, and there was no real good reason for them to be happening. The plotting was haphazard, the characters just kind of did stuff for no real reason, the producers relied far too much on things like kooky music and weird situations to drive the laughs. I keep giving this show grades in the B range because I don't really hate it as I'm watching it. It slides by easily enough, and the actors make it all watchable. But the more I think about the show as an episode or as a season, the more I realize it just doesn't work. Hung is the worst kind of TV: TV that purposely hopes you don't think too hard about it.

I enjoyed Hung enough to watch the 2 seasons. I haven't heard much about season 3 and thought the show was cancelled. To my surprise after checking out HBO go, the new season premiered today.

Man my Sundays are stacked. How to make it, Hung on HBO. Dexter, Homeland on Showtime and Breaking Bad on AMC.

I am satisfied ;-)

I don't usually let my loins guide me into making bad decisions with television shows, but...the writing on this show could completely tank and I'd still watch just for Ray's sex scenes. Thomas Jane has got that Midwest DILF act locked down. I mean goddamn...I'm biting my fist just typing this.

Anyway, the premier was interesting enough, but I feel like this show has yet to really hit its stride.

I'm cautiously optimistic after seeing the premiere. I was totally ready to not watch the show ever again after last season, even though TJ is one of my long standing crushes, but if they first ep is any indication it seems like they might have finally gotten out of that "everyone's life is soooo depressing" phase they seemed obsessed with in seasons 1 and 2. This show needs to let the characters have fun. And keep those teenagers in the background in one scene every episode like they did yesterday, I don't need to see them. And Lenore's new find... drool. More please.
