It's weird that she doesn't wear it sometimes, though.
Yeah, I wonder why. :/

Ha, first we'll get Hyrule Warriors XL and Hyrule Warriors Empires.
his is the first time I think Gorons look cute, I feel bad for them if you have to kill them

I don't think it would have been. All of the complaints thrown at the game would be complaints even if it was a new IP.

Do you even kill anyone in this game? All you do is "knock" them out, no?
Pirate Warriors didn't get any of that. Not likely this will either.
Don't joke about HW Empires. Only thing that could be better than that would be Fire Emblem Warriors Empires ; _ ;
enemies seems to disappear after a few hits so I thought that would mean you kill them
they are going for Zelda theme so they blow up in a puff of smoke?
Maybe if this is a success, Nintendo will look into making Musou style games for their other properties.
I guess.
No way. Not going to happen this decade.
If this game sells like gangbusters, I bet they'd take something like a fire emblem and let namco do a musou game for it.
Now THAT one I don't know how well it would sell as I personally have no ties to FE at all.

Japan:Nah, Fire Emblem is too small of an IP.
BamJapan:
Awakening - 460,568
Between Two Worlds - 405,633

That Goron army is awesome.

Yeah, that's what I said, too small. Also, not sure if Nintendo really want to mousuify multiple IP's.

That's not stage select, it's challenge mode.
So Ghirahim/Zant got title cards, like the other playable characters, although seen from an NPC perspective. Shia, Wizro, and Valga didn't. Could mean they are playable, but it'd be odd to have those two as playable, but not the other 3.
This is what I thought.
Real talk, The character select screen they're showing is probably heroes only. In the final game, they'll probably have a button you press and all of those flip over and have the playable villians.
So we're looking at 13 heroes and 13 villains...less than I'd hoped but...I guess.
Keep in mind, we haven't seen sub bosses for villains yet either, or the inevitable scenario when Heroes have to fight Heroes.
"Hyrulean Captain Impa"
No. Hylian.
Nice theory, and I think Ganondorf could introduce the mode with playable villains, and this is why we haven't seen him yet.
I have a really bad feeling that this game is getting too much hype. Especially on the character department. My disappointment will be palpable if the roster lacks Wind Waker and Majora's Mask characters - or if it is smaller than 40 characters, for that matter.
This is what happens when you put characters like Agitha in your game. It can only end in tears!
She is a Hylian that is the Hyrulean captain.
"Hyrulean Captain Impa"
No. Hylian.
You mean Sheikah
"Hyrulean Captain Impa"
No. Hylian.
Sheikah are just a clan within Hyrule. They founded Kakariko Village!
Hylian = race
Sheikah = race
Hyrulean = nationality.
Impa is a Hyrulean Sheikah.![]()
...in which you are selecting which stage you want to play...
The people who live in the country of Hyrule are all Hyruleans.
She's a captain in Hyrule's army.
Hyrulean Captain.
You're not selecting a stage, you're selecting a challenge.
Musou game or not, if they play their cards as well as they have been so far this game should be filled to the bursting with LoZ fanservice and, as a result, should make a lot of people very happy. Having a really big character roster would be a signficiant part of that, though, at least for me.I mean, who do you want from Wind Waker? Deku Scrubs are in the game already and the bird people never really stood out. Only one I would want is that version of Ganondorf with puppet ganon powers.
And I doubt we'll hit 40. I'd expect 32 max, 16 hero, 16 villian. I bet we'll get some form of skull kid though. or Vaati.
Beyond that, I think the real disappointment coming from the people who are getting the most hyped are the people who are forgetting that, at the end of the day, this is STILL just a musou game.

Wind Waker reps could easily include Tetra, King Hyrule, Medli (my personal most wanted character), Makar, and maybe even Beedle. Plus Wind Waker's two sequels have a handful of memorable characters that are practically mandatory to include, the top picks being Linebeck (Phantom Hourglass) and Byrne (Spirit Tracks).
32 characters wouldn't be terrible, but considering the sheer number of characters that Dynasty Warrior games usually come equipped with, as well as the sheer number of notable characters present in the Zelda series...
I guess, to me, what it comes down to is this: if there wasn't going to be a Really Really Big roster, they shouldn't have included OCs and minor characters like Agitha.

This is my thoughts on the roster as well.
Were there original characters in the One Piece and Gundam musou games? If not, then I don;t see why they felt the need to add them to this game, especially when we have Zelda characters that could take their place.
I mean if you are expecting a 40 playable roster in a first installment of a musou game of course you are going to end up disappointed.
The first One Piece Warriors had about 11 characters I think, The first Samurai Warriors had about 15.
I expected around 12-16 playable characters, and it seems we are going to hit that number.
They have to create all these movesets from scratch, so first, so there isn't going to be a lot of characters (could have been more if they had 1 weapon per character, but I think its fine this way). The OC is a weird decision (her deku stick weapon is even more baffling) but she seems to be the only playable OC, so its not that terrible.
This is my thoughts on the roster as well.

Like I said, if this game doesn't let you play as the villains, someone over at Bamco is fucking up. It's super wasteful to create movesets for enemies captains and then not use those movesets for playable characters. Nothing we've seen from any of the 6 revealed enemy characters seems so crazy that they couldn't be player controlled.
