Grats! I would really like to grab a PS4, Vita, and PS+ (money is no issue) but I have a fantastic PC and Wii U and I'm not sure I'd get much use out of the PS4 right now.

Warframe is a ton of fun. Also, if you are like me and like to watch youtube on your TV then on your PS4 web browser go to www.youtube.com/tv .. there you can pair it with your phone and it works much like the app for PS3. Its not perfect but it is a good substitute until the app comes.

When Charlie Brooker was demoing the console the day before release on the channel 4 news (with that prat Jon Snow) he couldnÂ’t figure out how to eject the disc and had one of his minions come on screen and swap the disc for him. Was kind of awkward.

One little thing you might want to be aware of; PS4 players do show up as online for PS3 users, but PS3 users will be displayed as online to a PS4 user. Strange harware limitation of the PS3

Been to Poland yesterday and was surprised how many Infamous Bundles were available in some Electronics Discounter.
Bought one.
Haven't bothered about the availability here in Germany since launch. Infamous, Killzone + Warframe should be enough, eventually PS+ some day, there's nothing really interesting for me atm.

No, that was just a launch offer in the US only, and I don't think it was a year. I thought it was PSN credit and a month or something?

Welcome to next gen. Get warframe as many others have said an if you have not bought TR on ps3 get that too it's great.
Final Fantasy XIV should not be someone's first MMO. It's entirely obtuse and overwhelming to someone without some minor experience in the genre. Just the UI alone would make you shit yourself.
It's more noob-friendly than Final Fantasy XI was, but that's not saying much.
Although I would assume the console version would be a bit more streamlined and less intimidating.
B-but I bought a Wii U back in November...
This will actually be my third romp through Tomb Raider, but I really enjoyed the game and am excited to see the added effects, 1080 and especially that 60fps (or rather the overall hovering around 60fps)

lol, took me like 2 minutes to figure out how to turn on the PS4. Was a little confused on where the power button was, heh.

This is very true. I tried to get into it during the beta because i love the FF series but I could not invest enough time and energy to warrant a purchase. Dat UI!!

Congrats, I just joined last week. Been playing Battlefield 4, even though the game left a sour taste in my mouth on PS3 I really wanted to experience the 64 player action, I'm loving it.
Negative on the gaming PC. Outlast is on PSN? I'll have to check that out.

Don't overlook digital games, OP. Resogun is my favorite game on the console, and I've had a blast with Towerfall, Steamworld Dig, and Don't Starve, too.
Still never had my controller go flat after 10+ hrs.

Agreed. And a charger dock to make it less hassle is great as well. The Power A one is very good.

ITT: I found out people are really unobservant. I mean come on haha I looked at every angle of my PS4 when I bought it and saw them immediately. They don't print symbols on the console for nothing most of the time.

I tried AC4 on the PS3 and was able to stomach about 45 minutes of it before I had to return it. AC2 left me extremely burnt out and this was years ago. I cant seem to get past it.
If anything, Child of Light is what will push me towards PS+. Either that or Destiny will be the breaking point. Isnt Resogun similar to Geometry Wars?
Definitely consider Resogun if you can OP. Such a brilliant game to play with a mate, even over PSN. It felt great to Platinum, simply because I enjoyed it so much.
Otherwise, I'd say that, right now, the third party games are better than the exclusives right now in my opinion. Killzone just doesn't do it for me. Multiplayer is alright I suppose. Not tried Infamous yet though!

Both of mine get between 5-6 hours depending on how much rumble in the game etc.
I've had them die around that time in long gaming sessions when I grabbed them fully charged of the dock at the start.
Join us in the wait for the next FW update. I hear it's coming "soon". Get used to that word, you will be hearing it a lot with PS4.
The controller really is that good. Always liked the DS but DS3 in subtle and not subtle ways was a step down from DS2. Now the DS4 has hands down perfected the DS model, feels goddamn amazing.

Get Resogun and outlast... you won't be disapointed.
I have yet to play, but most people seem to like Don't Starve too.

I forgot to buy a new card and bought a game instead and now I can;t even play the game online until I have enought money in the budget to buy PS+ again... sucks..
I turned mine on by accident while adjusting it nicely on the shelf.... I had no idea the buttone were there, lol.

No, PS4 needs to be turned on before controller can sync.

I'm in the same boat as you, OP. I purchased my "Like New" PS4 from Amazon Warehouse early last week for $296 and it is "out for delivery" today. I can't wait to get home to get it set up
