Definitely one of my favorite games in the series. I love the world and the characters and the game is just full of charm and personality. Wind Waker is one of the best looking games in the series as well.
It's really not. I'm a huge SS fan and all of the ideas they developed there are in BOTW. Upgradeable gear, stamina, a world that feels like a dungeon in itself, gliding, cooking and much more. Fujibayashi is great, Minish Cap, Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild under his name? There is no better Zelda dev than him right now. People try to sum SS up as just a "linear game" but it is so much more than that.

But they will all inevitably break. It's not a matter of gain, its a matter of permanence of my rewards and for me it doesn't feel satisfying to receive temporary buffs as a reward.
Yeah, that change of perspective is good. It's just that people dismiss SS because of that and forget that it was a very innovative title in the 3D series that had some ideas that would eventually be used in BOTW
Well no, the rechargable weapons work exactly like ammo systems, because you're always guaranteed to get the same back within a relatively predictable amount of time.
In MGS you have your core weapons that you can resupply at will. Traditional durability systems work like ammo (like Witcher 3) where you have to go back and resupply to use the weapon effectively, but in Zelda it breaks. No guarantee you can use it again, at least not anytime soon, and not at your own will (ala MGSV).
Also MGSV doesn't use its weapons as loot rewards, at least not in the same way.
Really would like to see this on Switch. I didn't like the endless sailing in the NGC version. Too slow. But I guess they made sailing faster in the HD version?
